Emission $^{57}$Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy (eMS), following the implantation of radioactive $^{57}$Mn+ ions, has been used to study the temperature dependence of the hyperfine magnetic field at Fe sites in Ba-doped BiFeO$_3$ (BFO) thin films. $^{57}$Mn β decays (t$_{1/2}$ = 90 s) to the 14.4 keV Mössbauer state of $^{57}$Fe, thus allowing online eMS measurements at a selection of sample temperatures during Mn implantation. A measurement of the $B^0_s$ decay parameters in the $B^0_s \to J/\psi\phi$ channel using an integrated luminosity of 14.3 fb$^{-1}$ collected by the ATLAS detector from 8 TeV $pp$ collisions at the LHC is presented. The measured parameters include the $CP$-violating phase $\phi_s$, the decay width $\Gamma_s$ and the width difference between the mass eigenstates $\Delta\Gamma_s$. [...]

Measurement of $D^{*\pm}$, $D^\pm$ and $D_s^\pm$ meson production cross sections in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The production of $D^{*\pm}$, $D^\pm$ and $D_s^\pm$ charmed mesons has been measured with the ATLAS detector in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV at the LHC, using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $280\,$nb$^{-1}$. The charmed mesons have been reconstructed in the range of transverse momentum $3.5<p_{\rm T}(D)<100$ GeV and pseudorapidity $|\eta(D)|<2.1$. [...]

Performance of $b$-Jet Identification in the ATLAS Experiment / ATLAS Collaboration
The identification of jets containing $b$ hadrons is important for the physics programme of the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. Several algorithms to identify jets containing $b$ hadrons are described, ranging from those based on the reconstruction of an inclusive secondary vertex or the presence of tracks with large impact parameters to combined tagging algorithms making use of multi-variate discriminants. Performance of pile-up mitigation techniques for jets in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV using the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The large rate of multiple simultaneous proton--proton interactions, or pile-up, generated by the Large Hadron Collider in Run 1 required the development of many new techniques to mitigate the adverse effects of these conditions. This paper describes the methods employed in the ATLAS experiment to correct for the impact of pile-up on jet energy and jet shapes, and for the presence of spurious additional jets, with a primary focus on the large 20.3 fb$^{-1}$ data sample collected at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV. Search for direct top squark pair production in final states with two tau leptons in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A search for direct pair production of the supersymmetric partner of the top quark, decaying via a scalar tau to a nearly massless gravitino, has been performed using 20 fb$^{-1}$ of proton--proton collision data at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV. The data were collected by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC in 2012. [...]

Measurement of the centrality dependence of the charged-particle pseudorapidity distribution in proton--lead collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_\text{NN}}} = 5.02$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The centrality dependence of the mean charged-particle multiplicity as a function of pseudorapidity is measured in approximately 1 $\mu$b$^{-1}$ of proton--lead collisions at a nucleon--nucleon centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s_{_\text{NN}}} = 5.02$ TeV using the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Charged particles with absolute pseudorapidity less than 2.7 are reconstructed using the ATLAS pixel detector. [...]

Determination of the ratio of $b$-quark fragmentation fractions $f_s/f_d$ in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
With an integrated luminosity of 2.47 fb$^{-1}$ recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC, the exclusive decays $B_{s}^{0}\rightarrow J/\psi\phi$ and $B_{d}^{0}\rightarrow J/\psi K^{*0}$ of $B$ mesons produced in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV are used to determine the ratio of fragmentation fractions $f_s/f_d$. From the observed yields of 6640 $\pm$ 100(stat) $\pm$ 220(sys) $B_{s}^{0} \rightarrow J/\psi\phi$ events and 36290 $\pm$ 320(stat) $\pm$ 650(sys) $B_{d}^{0}\rightarrow J/\psi K^{*0}$ events, the quantity $\frac{f_s}{f_d}\frac{\mathcal{B}(B_{s}^{0} \rightarrow J/\psi \phi)}{\mathcal{B}(B_{d}^{0} \rightarrow J/\psi K^{*0})}$ is estimated to be 0.199 $\pm$ 0.004(stat) $\pm$ 0.010(sys)..
