Model Independent Approach of the JUNO $^8$B Solar Neutrino Program / JUNO Collaboration
The physics potential of detecting $^8$B solar neutrinos is exploited at the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), in a model independent manner by using three distinct channels of the charged-current (CC), neutral-current (NC) and elastic scattering (ES) interactions. [...]

Cosmology and Dark Matter / Tkachev, Igor (Moscow, INR)
This lecture course covers cosmology from the particle physicist perspective. Therefore, the emphasis will be on the evidence for the new physics in cosmological and astrophysical data together with minimal theoretical frameworks needed to understand and appreciate the evidence. [...]

Tidal streams from axion miniclusters and direct axion searches / Tinyakov, Peter (Brussels U.) ; Tkachev, Igor (Moscow, INR) ; Zioutas, Konstantin (Patras U. ; CERN)
In some axion dark matter models a dominant fraction of axions resides in dense small-scale substructures, axion miniclusters. A fraction of these substructures is disrupted and forms tidal streams where the axion density may still be an order of magnitude larger than the average. [...]

Review of the Safety of LHC Collisions / Ellis, John R. (CERN) ; Giudice, Gian (CERN) ; Mangano, Michelangelo L. (CERN) ; Tkachev, Igor (CERN) ; Wiedemann, Urs (Moscow, INR) /LSAG: LHC Safety Assessment Group
The safety of collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) was studied in 2003 by the LHC Safety Study Group, who concluded that they presented no danger. Here we review their 2003 analysis in light of additional experimental results and theoretical understanding, which enable us to confirm, update and extend the conclusions of the LHC Safety Study Group. Is astronomy possible with neutral ultra-high energy cosmic ray particles existing in the Standard Model? / Tinyakov, P.G. (Brussels U. ; Moscow, INR) ; Tkachev, Igor I. (CERN ; Moscow, INR)
The recently observed correlation between HiRes stereo cosmic ray events with energies E ~ 10 EeV and BL Lacs occurs at an angle which strongly suggests that the primary particles are neutral. We analyze whether this correlation, if not a statistical fluctuation, can be explained within the Standard Model, i.e., assuming only known particles and interactions. [...]

Cuts and penalties: Comment on "Clustering of ultrahigh energy cosmic rays and their sources" / Tinyakov, P. (Lausanne U. ; Moscow, INR) ; Tkachev, Igor (CERN ; Moscow, INR)
In a series of papers we have found statistically significant correlations between arrival directions of ultra-high energy cosmic rays and BL Lacertae objects. Recently, our calculations were partly repeated by Evans, Ferrer and Sarkar with different conclusions. [...]

Deflections of cosmic rays in a random component of the Galactic magnetic field / Tinyakov, P.G. (Brussels U. ; Moscow, INR) ; Tkachev, Igor I. (CERN ; Moscow, INR)
We express the mean square deflections of the ultra-high energy cosmic rays (UHECR) caused by the random component of the Galactic magnetic field (GMF) in terms of the GMF power spectrum and use recent measurements of the GMF spectrum to estimate them quantitatively. We find that deflections due to the random field typically constitute 0.03-0.3 of the deflections which are due to the regular component and depend on the direction on the sky. [...]

Constrained Simulations of the Magnetic Field in the Local Universe and the Propagation of UHECRs / Dolag, Klaus (Padua U., Astron. Dept.) ; Grasso, Dario (Pisa, Scuola Normale Superiore ; INFN, Pisa) ; Springel, Volker (Garching, Max Planck Inst.) ; Tkachev, Igor (CERN)
We use simulations of LSS formation to study the build-up of magnetic fields (MFs) in the ICM. Our basic assumption is that cosmological MFs grow in a MHD amplification process driven by structure formation out of a seed MF present at high z. [...]

Turbulent Thermalization / Micha, Raphael (ETH Zürich) ; Tkachev, Igor I (CERN ; Inst. Nucl. Res. of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia)
We study, analytically and with lattice simulations, the decay of coherent field oscillations and the subsequent thermalization of the resulting stochastic classical wave-field. The problem of reheating of the Universe after inflation constitutes our prime motivation and application of the results. [...]

Mapping deflections of Ultra-High Energy Cosmic Rays in Constrained Simulations of Extragalactic Magnetic Fields / Dolag, Klaus (Padua U., Astron. Dept.) ; Grasso, Dario (INFN, Pisa) ; Springel, Volker (Garching, Max Planck Inst.) ; Tkachev, Igor (CERN)
We construct the first realistic map of deflections of ultra-high energy cosmic rays by extragalactic magnetic fields, using a magneto-hydrodynamical simulation of cosmic structure formation that reproduces the positions of known galaxy clusters in the Local Universe. Large deflection angles occur in cluster regions, which however cover only an insignificant fraction of the sky. [...]
