HIE-ISOLDE SC Linac progress and commissioning in 2016 / Venturini Delsolaro, Walter (CERN) ; Bravin, Enrico (CERN) ; Delruelle, Nicolas (CERN) ; Elias, Michal (CERN) ; Fadakis, Eleftherios (CERN) ; Ferreira Somoza, Jose (CERN) ; Formenti, Fabio (CERN) ; Fraser, Matthew (CERN) ; Gayde, Jean-Christophe (CERN) ; Guillotin, Nicolas (CERN) et al.
After the first successful physics run with radioactive ion beams at HIE ISOLDE, in October 2015 [1], the staged deployment of the linac continued in 2016 by adding a second cryomodule and by refurbishing the first one. During the physics run with one cryomodule, the second cryomodule was being assembled. [...]

The HIE-ISOLDE project has been approved by CERN in 2009 and gained momentum after 2011. The final energy goal of the upgrade is to boost the radioactive beams of REX-ISOLDE from the present 3 MeV/u up to 10 MeV/u for A/q up to 4.5. [...]

After 20 years of successful ISOLDE operation at the PS-Booster*, a major upgrade of the facility, the HIE-ISOLDE (High Intensity and Energy ISOLDE) project was launched in 2010. It is divided into three parts; a staged upgrade of the REX post-accelerator to increase the beam energy from 3.3 MeV/u to 10 MeV/u using a super-conducting linac, an evaluation of the critical issues associated with an increase in proton-beam intensity and a machine design for an improvement in RIB quality. HIE-ISOLDE: First Commissioning Experience / Venturini Delsolaro, Walter (CERN) ; Bravin, Enrico (CERN) ; Delruelle, Nicolas (CERN) ; Elias, Michal (CERN) ; Ferreira Somoza, Jose (CERN) ; Fraser, Matthew (CERN) ; Gayde, Jean-Christophe (CERN) ; Kadi, Yacine (CERN) ; Kautzmann, Guillaume (CERN) ; Klumb, Francis (CERN) et al.
The HIE ISOLDE project [1] reached a major milestone in October 2015, with the start of the first physics run with radioactive ion beams. This achievement was the culminating point of intense months during which the first cryomodule of the HIE ISOLDE superconducting Linac and its high-energy beam transfer lines were first installed and subsequently brought into operation. Commissioning of the helium cryogenic system for the HIE- ISOLDE accelerator upgrade at CERN / Delruelle, N (CERN) ; Inglese, V (CERN) ; Leclercq, Y (CERN) ; Pirotte, O (CERN) ; Williams, L (CERN)
The High Intensity and Energy ISOLDE (HIE-ISOLDE) project is a major upgrade of the existing ISOLDE and REX-ISOLDE facilities at CERN. The most significant improvement will come from replacing the existing REX accelerating structure by a superconducting linear accelerator (SC linac) composed ultimately of six cryo-modules installed in series, each containing superconducting RF cavities and solenoids operated at 4.5 K. Thermal Design and Performance results of the first High-Beta Cryo-module for HIE-ISOLDE at CERN / Valdarno, L (CERN) ; Delruelle, N (CERN) ; Leclercq, Y (CERN) ; Parma, V (CERN) ; Vandoni, G (CERN) ; Williams, L (CERN)
The High Energy and Intensity HIE-ISOLDE is a facility under construction at CERN whose target is ultimately, after the installation of six cryo-modules, to produce radioactive ion beams at 10MeV/u maximum energy in order to significantly expand the nuclear physics programme carried out by REX-ISOLDE. Since thermal control is essential to the performance of the whole cryo-module, a combination of a passive (materials, coatings, and surface finishes) and active (cryogenic loops, heaters) control has been designed to keep the cryostat operating within the allowable thermal budget. Status of the HIE-ISOLDE Linac / Venturini Delsolaro, Walter (CERN) ; Alberty, Luis (CERN) ; Arnaudon, Luca (CERN) ; Artoos, Kurt (CERN) ; Bauche, Jeremie (CERN) ; Bernardes, Ana (CERN) ; Bousquet, Jean-Alexandre (CERN) ; Bravin, Enrico (CERN) ; Calatroni, Sergio (CERN) ; Cantero, Esteban (CERN) et al.
The HIE-ISOLDE project aims at increasing the energy of the radioactive beams (RIB) of REX-ISOLDE from the present 3 MeV/u up to 10 MeV/u for A/q up to 4.5. This will be accomplished by means of a new superconducting linac, based on independently phased quarter wave resonators using the Nb sputtering on copper technology, and working at 101.28 MHz [...]

Cryogenics system: strategy to achieve nominal performance and reliable operation / Bremer, J (CERN) ; Brodzinski, K (CERN) ; Casas, J (CERN) ; Claudet, S (CERN) ; Delikaris, D (CERN) ; Delruelle, N (CERN) ; Ferlin, G (CERN) ; Fluder, C (CERN) ; Perin, A (CERN) ; Perinic, G (CERN) et al.
During the LHC operation in 2010 and 2011, the cryogenic system has achieved an availability level fulfilling the overall requirement. To reach this level, the cryogenic system has profited like many other beam-dependent systems from the reduced beam parameters. [...]

Search for tb resonances in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
This Letter presents a search for tb resonances in 1.04/fb$^{-1}$ of LHC proton-proton collision data collected by the ATLAS detector at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. Events with a lepton, missing transverse momentum, and two jets are selected and the invariant mass of the corresponding final state is reconstructed. [...]

Measurement of the t-channel single top-quark production cross section in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
We report a measurement of the cross section of single top-quark production in the t-channel using 1.04 fb$^{-1}$ of pp collision data at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Selected events feature one electron or muon, missing transverse momentum, and two or three jets, exactly one of them identified as originating from a b quark. [...]
