Monitored neutrino beams are a novel technology designed to provide measurements of the neutrino cross sections at GeV scale with a total uncertainty of O(1%), thus improving by one order of magnitude current experimental estimates. The ENUBET project is close to proving for the first time the feasibility of this concept and the Collaboration is preparing a proposal for a new neutrino beam at CERN based on the SPS accelerator and the ProtoDUNEs neutrino detectors that are already operative at the North Experimental Area. Bruno Kessler, Povo) ; Angelis, I (Aristotle U., Thessaloniki) ; Bomben, L (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Insubria U., Como) ; Bonesini, M (INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Bramati, F (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Branca, A (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Brizzolari, C (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Brunetti, G (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Capelli, S (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Insubria U., Como) et al.
Monitored neutrino beams are facilities where beam diagnostics enable the counting and identification of charged leptons in the decay tunnel of a narrow band beam. These facilities can monitor neutrino production at the single particle level (flux precision %) and provide information about the neutrino energy at the 10% level. [...]

Design and performance of the ENUBET monitored neutrino beam
/ ENUBET Collaboration
The ENUBET project is aimed at designing and experimentally demonstrating the concept of monitored neutrino beams. These novel beams are enhanced by an instrumented decay tunnel, whose detectors reconstruct large-angle charged leptons produced in the tunnel and give a direct estimate of the neutrino flux at the source. [...]

The ENUBET monitored neutrino beam: a progress report
/ Brizzolari, C (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Acerbi, F (Fond. Bruno Kessler, Trento ; TIFPA-INFN, Trento) ; Angelis, I (Aristotle U., Thessaloniki) ; Bonesini, M (INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Bramati, F (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Branca, A (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.) ; Brunetti, G (INFN, Padua) ; Calviani, M (CERN) ; Capelli, S (Insubria U., Como ; INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Carturan, S (INFN, Legnaro) et al.
The ENUBET experiment, included in the CERN Neutrino Platform effort as NP06/ENUBET, is developing a monitored neutrino beam based on conventional techniques. The aim is to constrain the flux and the flavor composition with a precision of O(1%) by monitoring the associated charged leptons produced in the decay tunnel. [...]

Detector R&D; for the ENUBET instrumented decay region
/ ENUBET Collaboration
The ENUBET/NP06 project aims at validating, both through simulation and detector prototyping, the possibility of a monitored neutrino beam through lepton tagging in an active decay tunnel. Such a technology would enable a control of the flux at the O(1%) level, offering the chance to measure neutrino cross-sections with unprecedented precision.
The project has undergone various phases of R&D;, whose milestones consisted in the construction of different calorimeters and the assessment of their performance. [...]

Lepton reconstruction in the ENUBET tagger
/ ENUBET Collaboration
The ENUBET project aims at demonstrating the feasibility of a monitored neutrino beam in which the measurement of associated charged leptons in the instrumented decay region of a conventional beam is used to constrain the neutrino flux to unprecedented precision ($\mathcal{O}$(1\%)). Large angle muons and positrons from kaon decays are detected on the decay tunnel walls equipped with a sampling calorimeter with longitudinal, radial and azimuthal segmentation. [...]

The ENUBET experiment (NP06/ENUBET at CERN) has the goal of proving the concept of a "monitored neutrino beam", for a superior knowledge of the produced neutrino flux and high-precision cross-section measurement. To achieve this, an instrumented decay tunnel will be used in order to directly monitor the products of the neutrino production vertices. [...]

The ENUBET ERC project, also included in the CERN Neutrino Platform as NP06/ENUBET, is developing a new neutrino beam based on conventional techniques in which the flux and the flavor composition are known with unprecedented precision (O (1%)). Such a goal is accomplished monitoring the associated charged leptons produced in the decay region of the ENUBET facility. [...]
