For the High-Luminosity (HL-LHC) phase, the upgrade of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at CERN will include a novel MIP Timing Detector (MTD). The central part of MTD, the barrel timing layer (BTL), is designed to provide a measurement of the time of arrival of charged particles with a precision of 30 ps at the beginning of HL-LHC, progressively degrading to 60 ps while operating in an extremely harsh radiation environment for over a decade. Upgrade of the high voltage system for the Avalanche Photodiodes of the CMS ECAL for the High Luminosity phase of the LHC / De Riggi, Federica (INFN, Rome ; Rome U.) /CMS Collaboration
The electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) of the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider is a homogeneous calorimeter made of 75848 lead tungstate crystals. The scintillation light is detected by avalanche photodiodes (APD) in the barrel and vacuum phototriodes in the endcaps. [...]

Measurement of the CP properties and anomalous couplings of the Higgs boson with the CMS experiment / De Riggi, Federica (INFN, Rome ; Rome U.) /CMS Collaboration
In many beyond the Standard Model (BSM) theories, anomalous couplings of the Higgs boson with the W and Z vector bosons, or with fermions, are possible and can potentially violate CP symmetry. BSM couplings between the Higgs boson and the top quark, as well as with particles not yet observed, could generate CP violation in the interactions between the Higgs boson and gluons, the dominant process in production at the LHC. First results on new helium based eco-gas mixtures for the Extreme Energy Events Project / EEE Collaboration
The Extreme Energy Events (EEE) Project, a joint project of the Centro Fermi (Museo Storico della Fisica e Centro Studi e Ricerche "E.Fermi") and INFN, has a dual purpose: a scientific research program on cosmic rays at ground level and an intense outreach and educational program. The project consists in a network of about 60 tracking detectors, called telescopes, mostly hosted in Italian High Schools. [...]

Ecological transition for the gas mixtures of the MRPC cosmic ray telescopes of the EEE Project / EEE Collaboration
The Extreme Energy Events (EEE) Collaboration is fully involved in an ecological transition. The use of the standard gas mixture, \ce{C_2H_2F_4}+ \ce{SF_6}, has stopped in favor of an alternative green mixture based on \ce{C_3H_2F_4} with the addition of He or \ce{CO_2}. [...]

The ecological transition of the extreme energy events experiment / Abbrescia, M (Bari U. ; INFN, Bari) ; Avanzini, C (Pisa U.) ; Baldini, L (Pisa U.) ; Baldini Ferroli, R (Frascati) ; Batignani, G (Pisa U.) ; Battaglieri, M (INFN, Genoa) ; Boi, S (Cagliari U.) ; Bossini, E (Pisa U.) ; Carnesecchi, F (CERN) ; Cavazza, F (INFN, Bologna) et al.
The need for reducing the emission of gases, potentially contributing to the greenhouse effect and climate change, has impacted many fields, including scientific research. The Extreme Energy Event (EEE) collaboration started, already several years ago, a series of tests aiming at finding a more eco-friendly replacement for the gases used in the Multigap Resistive Plate Chambers (MRPCs) of its network. The Extreme Energy Events (EEE) experiment consists in a network of cosmic muon tracker telescopes, each made of three Multi-gap Resistive Plate Chambers (MRPC), able to precisely measure the absolute muon crossing time and the muon integrated angular flux at the ground level. To investigate the MRPC telescope response and performance, a simulation tool was developed in GEMC, software package based on GEANT4 libraries. [...]

After its successful campaign of measurements beyond the Polar Arctic Circle, the PolarquEEEst experiment measured the cosmic charged particle rate at sea level in a latitude interval between 35$^{\circ }$ N and 82$^{\circ }$ N. In this paper, these measurements are described and the corresponding results are discussed..
