Higgs and BSM Physics at the Future Muon Collider / Franceschini, Roberto (Rome III U. ; INFN, Rome3) ; Greco, Mario (Rome III U. ; INFN, Rome3)
We describe recent work on the physics of the Higgs boson at future muon colliders. Starting from the low energy muon collider at the Higgs boson pole we extend our discussion to the multi-TeV muon collider and outline the physics case for such machines about the properties of the Higgs boson and physics beyond the Standard Model that can be possibly discovered..

Going all the way in the search for WIMP dark matter at the muon collider through precision measurements / Franceschini, Roberto (INFN, Rome3 ; Rome III U.) ; Zhao, Xiaoran (INFN, Rome3 ; Rome III U.)
Dark Matter is a necessary ingredient for a complete theory of Nature, which has so far remained elusive in laboratory searches for new particles. Searches at current and future colliders are in principle a promising way to search for electroweak charged dark matter particles, but the sensitivity of experiments at the LHC and future $pp$ colliders falls short to fully probe the whole mass range allowed for electroweak charged dark matter particles, which extends in principle up to the O(0.1) PeV. [...]

The collider landscape: which collider for establishing the SM instability? / Franceschini, Roberto (Rome III U.) ; Franceschini, Roberto (Rome III U.) ; Strumia, Alessandro (Pisa U.) ; Strumia, Alessandro (Pisa U.) ; Wulzer, Andrea (U. Padua, Dept. Phys. Astron.) ; Wulzer, Andrea (Padua U.)
Capabilities of future colliders are usually discussed assuming specific hypothetical new physics. We consider the opposite possibility: that no new physics is accessible, and we want to learn if the unnatural Standard Model is part of a vast landscape. [...]

Focus topics for the ECFA study on Higgs / Top / EW factories / de Blas, Jorge (Granada U.) ; Koppenburg, Patrick (Nikhef, Amsterdam) ; List, Jenny (DESY) ; Maltoni, Fabio (Louvain U.) ; Maestre, Juan Alcaraz (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Alimena, Juliette (DESY) ; Alison, John (Carnegie Mellon U.) ; Azzi, Patrizia (INFN, Padua) ; Azzurri, Paolo (INFN, Pisa) ; Bagnaschi, Emanuele (CERN ; INFN, Italy) et al.
In order to stimulate new engagement and trigger some concrete studies in areas where further work would be beneficial towards fully understanding the physics potential of an $e^+e^-$ Higgs / Top / Electroweak factory, we propose to define a set of focus topics. [...]

Rise and Fall of Light Top Squarks in the LHC Top-Quark Sample / Bagnaschi, Emanuele (CERN ; Frascati) ; Corcella, Gennaro (Frascati) ; Franceschini, Roberto (INFN, Rome3 ; Rome III U.) ; Sengupta, Dibyashree (Frascati)
We discuss the possibility that light new physics in the top quark sample at the LHC can be found by investigating with greater care well known kinematic distributions, such as the invariant mass $m_{b\ell}$ of the $b$-jet and the charged lepton in fully leptonic $t\bar{t}$ events. We demonstrate that new physics can be probed in the rising part of the already measured $m_{b\ell}$ distribution. [...]

A muon collider would enable the big jump ahead in energy reach that is needed for a fruitful exploration of fundamental interactions. The challenges of producing muon collisions at high luminosity and 10 TeV centre of mass energy are being investigated by the recently-formed International Muon Collider Collaboration. [...]
