Multiplicity Dependence of Charmonia Suppression in pp Collisions at the LHC Energies / Singh, Captain R (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Deb, Suman (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore ; CERN) ; Alam, Jan-e (Calcutta, VECC)
The ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions at energies available at the RHIC and LHC promise the rich physics of the QCD matter, which is proposed to have existed for a brief period after the few microseconds of the big-bang. However, investigating such an exotic medium in these collisions was challenging, and the reasons were obvious from the physics perspective. [...]

Fluidity of the system produced in relativistic pp and heavy-ion collisions: Hadron resonance gas model approach / Scaria, Ronald (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Sahu, Dushmanta (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Singh, Captain R. (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Kanpur ; CERN) ; Alam, Jan-e (Calcutta, VECC)
We have estimated the dimensionless parameters such as Reynolds number ($Re$), Knudsen number ($Kn$) and Mach number ($Ma$) for a multi-hadron system by using the excluded volume hadron resonance gas (EVHRG) model along with Hagedorn mass spectrum to include higher resonances in the system. The size dependence of these parameters indicate that the system formed in proton+proton collisions may achieve thermal equilibrium making it unsuitable as a benchmark to analyze the properties of the system produced in heavy ion collisions at similar energies. Extension of Glauber-like model for Proton-Proton collisions using anisotropic and inhomogeneous density profile / Deb, Suman (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Sarwar, Golam (Indian Inst. Results from proton-proton ($pp$) collisions have routinely been used as a baseline to analyze and understand the production of QCD matter expected to be produced in nuclear collisions. But recent studies of small systems formed in $pp$ collisions at the LHC energies hint at the possibility of producing medium with collective behavior. [...]

Charmonium suppression in ultra-relativistic proton–proton collisions at LHC energies: a hint for QGP in small systems / Singh, Captain R. (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Deb, Suman (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore) ; Sahoo, Raghunath (Indian Inst. Tech., Indore ; CERN) ; Alam, Jan-e (Calcutta, VECC)
Proton-proton ($pp$) collision has been considered as a baseline to study the system produced in relativistic heavy-ion (AA) collisions with the basic assumption that no thermal medium is formed in $pp$ collisions. This warrants a cautious analysis of the system produced in $pp$ collisions at relativistic energies. In this work we investigate the charmonium suppression in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 5.02, 7$ and $13$ TeV energies. Low Mass Dileptons from Pb+Au Collisions at CERN SPS / Sarkar, Sourav (Calcutta, VECC) ; Alam, Jan-e (Tokyo U.) ; Hatsuda, T (Tokyo U.)
We show that the dilepton spectra measured by the CERES collaboration in Pb + Au interactions for various charge multiplicities can be reproduced by a hadronic initial state with reduction in the masses of the vector mesons in the thermal bath. [...]

Photons from Pb-Pb collisions at ultrarelativistic energies / Alam, Jan-e (Tokyo U.) ; Sarkar, Sourav (Calcutta, VECC) ; Hatsuda, T. (Tokyo U.) ; Nayak, Tapan K. (Calcutta, VECC) ; Sinha, Bikash (Calcutta, VECC ; Saha Inst.)
High energy photon emission rate from matter created in Pb + Pb collisions at CERN SPS energies is evaluated. The evolution of matter from the initial state up to freeze-out has been treated within the framework of (3+1) dimensional hydrodynamic expansion. [...]

Photons from Pb + Pb and S + Au Collisions at CERN SPS Energies / Sarkar, Sourav (Calcutta, VECC) ; Roy, Pradip (Calcutta, VECC) ; Alam, Jan-e (Calcutta, VECC) ; Sinha, Bikash (Calcutta, VECC ; Saha Inst.)
The effects of the variation of vector meson masses and decay widths on photon production from hot strongly interacting matter formed after Pb + Pb and S + Au collisions at CERN SPS energies are considered. It has been shown that the present photon spectra measured by WA80 and WA98 Collaborations can not distinguish between the formation of quark matter and hadronic matter in the initial state..
