Observation of the $K^+ \to \pi^+ \nu \bar\nu$ decay and measurement of its branching ratio / Cortina Gil, Eduardo (Louvain U., CP3) ; Jerhot, Jan (Louvain U., CP3 ; Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Lurkin, Nicolas (Louvain U., CP3) ; Bryman, Douglas (British Columbia U. ; TRIUMF) ; Numao, Toshio (TRIUMF) ; Velghe, Bob (TRIUMF) ; Wong, Vincent Wai Sum (TRIUMF) ; Hives, Zdenko (Charles U.) ; Husek, Tomas (Charles U. ; Birmingham U.) ; Kampf, Karol (Charles U.) et al.
A measurement of the $K^+ \to \pi^+ \nu \bar\nu$ decay by the NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS is presented, using data collected in 2021 and 2022. This dataset was recorded, after modifications to the beamline and detectors, at a higher instantaneous beam intensity with respect to the 2016–2018 data taking. [...]

High-Precision Timing Distribution for the ATLAS Phase-II Central Trigger Upgrade / ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS experiment requires a high-precision bunch clock distribution for the High-Luminosity upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider. A new trigger and timing distribution system based on FPGA transceivers and high-speed serial links will replace the existing one. [...]

Using graph neural networks to reconstruct charged pion showers in the CMS High Granularity Calorimeter / CMS HGCAL Collaboration
A novel method to reconstruct the energy of hadronic showers in the CMS High Granularity Calorimeter (HGCAL) is presented. The HGCAL is a sampling calorimeter with very fine transverse and longitudinal granularity. [...]

Automatic code generation for managing the firmware and software for configuration/status registers and memories in the ATLAS Level-1 Central Trigger / ATLAS Collaboration
Large FPGA firmware designs, such as the ones used in the trigger systems of HEP experiments, typically contain many hundreds of configuration/status registers and memories. Managing the required HDL code and software for these can become challenging. [...]

First search for $K^+ \to \pi^0 \pi \mu e$ decays / NA62 Collaboration
The first search for the lepton number violating decay $K^+ \to \pi^0 \pi^- \mu^+ e^+$ and lepton flavour violating decays $K^+ \to \pi^0 \pi^+ \mu^- e^+$, $K^+ \to \pi^0 \pi^+ \mu^+ e^-$ has been performed using a dataset collected by the NA62 experiment at CERN in 2016–2018. Upper limits of $2.9\times 10^{-10}$, $3.1 \times 10^{-10}$ and $5.0 \times 10^{-10}$, respectively, are obtained at 90% CL for the branching ratios of the three decays on the assumption of uniform phase-space distributions..

The Embedded Monitoring Processor for High Luminosity LHC / Moschovakos, Paris (CERN) ; Ecker, Dominic (Wuppertal U.) ; Olesen, Jakob (Aarhus U.) ; Ryjov, Vladimir (CERN) ; Schlenker, Stefan (CERN)
The Embedded Monitoring Processor (EMP) is a versatile platform designed for High Luminosity LHC experiments, addressing the communication, processing, and monitoring needs of diverse applications in the ATLAS experiment, with a focus on supporting front-ends based on lpGBT (low power Giga-Bit Transceiver). Built around a commercial SoM, the EMP architecture emphasizes modularity, flexibility and the usage of standard interfaces, aiming to cover a wide range of applications and facilitating detector integrators to design and implement their specific solutions. Development of a new CEDAR for kaon identification at the NA62 experiment at CERN / NA62 Collaboration
The NA62 experiment at CERN utilises a differential Cherenkov counter with achromatic ring focus (CEDAR) for tagging kaons within an unseparated monochromatic beam of charged hadrons. The CEDAR-H detector was developed to minimise the amount of material in the path of the beam by using hydrogen gas as the radiator medium. [...]
