Detailed structure of Sn131 populated in the β decay of isomerically purified In131 states / IDS Collaboration
The excited structure of the single-hole nucleus Sn131 populated by the β− decay of In131 was investigated in detail at the ISOLDE facility at CERN. This new experiment took advantage of isomeric purification capabilities provided by resonant ionization, making it possible to independently study the decay of each isomer for the first time. [...]

$^{178}\mathrm{Hg}$ and asymmetric fission of neutron-deficient pre-actinides / Jhingan, A. (IUCAA, Pune) ; Schmitt, C. (Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Lemasson, A. (GANIL) ; Biswas, S. (GANIL) ; Kim, Y.H. (IBS, Daejeon, CENS) ; Ramos, D. (GANIL) ; Andreyev, A.N. (York U., England ; CERN ; JAERI, Tokai) ; Curien, D. (Strasbourg, IPHC) ; Ciemała, M. (Cracow, INP) ; Clément, E. (GANIL) et al.
Fission at low excitation energy is an ideal playground to probe the impact of nuclear structure on nuclear dynamics. While the importance of structural effects in the nascent fragments is well-established in the (trans-)actinide region, the observation of asymmetric fission in several neutron-deficient pre-actinides can be explained by various mechanisms. Coulomb excitation of pear-shaped nuclei / Butler, Peter (Liverpool U.) ; Gaffney, Liam (Liverpool U. ; CERN) ; Spagnoletti, Pietro (West Scotland U.) ; Konki, Joonas (CERN) ; Scheck, Marcus (West Scotland U.) ; Smith, John (West Scotland U.) ; Abrahams, Kenzo (Western Cape U.) ; Bowry, Michael (TRIUMF) ; Cederkäll, Joakim (Lund U.) ; Chupp, Timothy (Michigan U.) et al.
There is a large body of evidence that atomic nuclei can undergo octupole distortion and assume the shape of a pear. This phenomenon is important for measurements of electric-dipole moments of atoms, which would indicate CP violation and hence probe physics beyond the Standard Model of particle physics. [...]

Modern Phys. ; Peking U., SKLNPT) ; Guo, C Y (Peking U., SKLNPT) ; Doherty, D T (Surrey U.) ; Barzakh, A E (St. Petersburg, INP) et al.
Prompt and delayed γ-ray spectroscopy of the neutron-deficient, semi-magic isotope 187Pb has been performed using the recoil-decay and isomer-decay tagging techniques at the Argonne Gas-Filled Analyzer. A new 5.15(15)-μs isomeric state at only 308 keV above the spherical 3/2− ground state is identified and classified as a shape isomer. [...]

Coulomb excitation of $^{222}$Rn / Spagnoletti, P (West Scotland U. ; Simon Fraser U., Dept. Chem.) ; Butler, P A (Liverpool U.) ; Gaffney, L P (Liverpool U. ; CERN) ; Abrahams, K (Western Cape U.) ; Bowry, M (West Scotland U. ; TRIUMF) ; Cederkäll, J (Lund U.) ; Chupp, T (U. Michigan, Ann Arbor) ; de Angelis, G (INFN, Legnaro) ; De Witte, H (Leuven U.) ; Garrett, P E (Guelph U.) et al.
The nature of quadrupole and octupole collectivity in $^{222}$Rn was investigated by determining the electric-quadrupole (E2) and octupole (E3) matrix elements using subbarrier, multistep Coulomb excitation. The radioactive $^{222}$Rn beam, accelerated to 4.23 MeV/u, was provided by the HIE-ISOLDE facility at CERN. [...]

The changes in the mean-square charge radius (relative to $^{209}$Bi), magnetic dipole, and electric quadrupole moments of $^{187,188,189,191}$Bi were measured using the in-source resonance-ionization spectroscopy technique at ISOLDE (CERN). A large staggering in radii was found in $^{187,188,189}$Big, manifested by a sharp radius increase for the ground state of $^{188}$Bi relative to the neighboring $^{187,189}$Big. [...]

First β-decay spectroscopy of $^{135}$In and new $β$-decay branches of $^{134}$In / IDS Collaboration
The $\beta$ decay of the neutron-rich $^{134}$In and $^{135}$In was investigated experimentally in order to provide new insights into the nuclear structure of the tin isotopes with magic proton number $Z=50$ above the $N=82$ shell. The $\beta$-delayed $\gamma$-ray spectroscopy measurement was performed at the ISOLDE facility at CERN, where indium isotopes were selectively laser-ionized and on-line mass separated. [...]

Isotopic distributions of fragments from fission of the neutron-deficient $^{178}$Hg nuclide are reported.
