Performance of the LHCb Outer Tracker / Arink, R (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Bachmann, S. (Heidelberg U.) ; Bagaturia, Y. (Heidelberg U.) ; Band, H. (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Bauer, Th. (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Berkien, A. (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Farber, Ch. (Heidelberg U.) ; Bien, A. (Heidelberg U.) ; Blouw, J. (Heidelberg U.) ; Ceelie, L. (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) et al. /LHCb Outer Tracker group
The LHCb Outer Tracker is a gaseous detector covering an area of 5x6 m2 with 12 double layers of straw tubes. The detector with its services are described together with the commissioning and calibration procedures. [...]

The readout system for the LHCb Outer Tracker / Wiedner, D (CERN) ; Albrecht, J (Heidelberg U.) ; Apeldorn , G (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Bachmann, S (Heidelberg U.) ; Bagaturi , I (CERN) ; Bauer, T (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Berkien, A (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Blouw, J (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Bos, E (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Deisenroth, M (Heidelberg U.) et al.
The LHCb Outer Tracker is composed of 55 000 straw drift tubes. The requirements for the OT electronics are the precise (1 ns) drift time measurement at 6 % occupancy and 1 MHz readout. [...]

The Front End Electronics of the LHCb Straw Tube Tracker / Berkien, A (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Deppe, H (Heidelberg U.) ; du Pree, T (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; van Eijk, D (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Fanizzi, G (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Heine, E (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Jansen, F (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Knopf, J (U. Heidelberg (main)) ; Pellegrino, A (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Rausch, A (U. Heidelberg (main)) et al.
The LHCb experiment is a single-arm spectrometer, designed to study B-hadron decays at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). It is crucial to accurately and efficiently track the charged decay products with the Outer Tracker straw tube detector, in the high-density particle environment of the LHC. [...]

The LHCb Detector at the LHC / LHCb Collaboration
The LHCb experiment is dedicated to precision measurements of CP violation and rare decays of B hadrons at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN (Geneva). The initial configuration and expected performance of the detector and associated systems, as established by test beam measurements and simulation studies, is described..

The LHCb Outer Tracker Front End Electronics / Berkien, A ; Deppe, H ; Hommels, B ; Knopf, J ; Nedos, M ; Pellegrino, A ; Sluijk, T ; Spelt, J ; Stange, U ; Trunk, U et al.
This note provides an overview of the front-end electronics used to readout the drift-times of the LHCb Outer Tracker straw tube chambers. The main functional components of the readout are the ASDBLR ASIC for amplification and signal digitization, the OTIS ASIC for the time measurement and for the L0 buffering, and the GOL ASIC to serialize the digital data for the optical data transmission. OT FE-Box Test Procedures / Pellegrino, A (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Simioni, E (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Sluijk, T (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Zwart, A (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Schipper, J D (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Timmer, P (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Jansen, F (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Tuning, N (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Terrier, H (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Du Pree, T (NIKHEF, Amsterdam) et al.
The OT FE readout requirements is the precise (~0.5 ns) and efficient drift time measurement at an occupancy of ~4% to ensure single hit resolution. The acquired achievement of such performance on an assembled FE-Box is verify through a final test performed using a special FE-Tester. [...]
