Reciprocal of the CPT theorem / Álvarez-Gaumé, Luis (Stony Brook U., New York, SCGP ; CERN) ; Chaichian, Moshe M. (Helsinki U. ; Helsinki Inst. of Phys.) ; Oksanen, Markku A. (Helsinki U. ; Helsinki Inst. of Phys.) ; Tureanu, Anca (Helsinki U. ; Helsinki Inst. of Phys.)
The CPT theorem originally proven by Lüders and Pauli ensures the equality of masses, lifetimes, magnetic moments and cross sections of any particle and its antiparticle. We show that in a Lorentz invariant quantum field theory described by its Lagrangian, CPT-violating interaction alone does not split the masses of an elementary particle and its antiparticle but breaks only the equality of lifetimes, magnetic moments and cross sections. Exclusive Higgs Production in a Triplet Scenario / Chaichian, M (Helsinki Inst. of Phys. ; Helsinki U.) ; Hoyer, P (Helsinki U. ; Helsinki Inst. of Phys) ; Huitu, K (Helsinki U. ; Helsinki Inst. of Phys) ; Khoze, V A (Durham U. ; Manchester U.) ; Pilkington, A D (Manchester U.)
In this talk, we discuss searching for the neutral Higgs boson of a triplet model in central exclusive production at the Large Hadron Collider. In a detailed Monte Carlo analysis, it is found that for appropriate values of the model parameters, an excellent Higgs mass measurement is possible, and that distinguishing the triplet model Higgs boson from the Higgs boson of the Standard Model is possible..

The parton model, duality and deep-inelastic single-particle distributions / Chaichian, Masud ; Kitakado, S ; Pallua, S ; Zarmi, Y
Within the quark parton model the two-component duality idea is generalized to single hadron inclusive distributions in deep- inelastic scattering. The discussion is limited to the current fragmentation region. [...]

A valence quark model of mixed symmetry and the s-channel picture of deep-inelastic scattering / Chaichian, Masud ; Kitakado, S
Within the quark parton model the authors propose a mixed symmetry scheme for the valence component of the parton distributions. This scheme avoids the difficulty inherent in the symmetric valence quark model when applied to deep-inelastic scattering. [...]

Deep-inelastic scattering, partons and strong interaction ideas / Chaichian, Masud ; Kitakado, S ; Lam, W S ; Zarmi, Y
The quark-parton model as applied to deep-inelastic lepton-hadron scattering is used as a laboratory model for the study of ideas encountered in strong interaction physics. First, two-component duality constraints are imposed on single-particle inclusive deep- inelastic distributions. [...]

General approach to deep inelastic scattering / Chaichian, Masud ; Kitakado, S ; Pallua, S
Due to preliminary indications of a possible scaling violation it is interesting to clarify which of the parton light-cone results are indeed the consequences of a more general scheme. The constraints imposed by the general ideas of duality (absence of exotics in the t- channel) applied to deep inelastic single-particle distributions are considered. [...]

Sequential pole dominance model and decay of new mesons / Chaichian, Masud ; Hayashi, M
The sequential pole dominance model recently proposed by Freund and Nambu (1975) allows predictions to be made about the decay processes which violate the Zweig-Iizuka rule. Detailed comparison of the model with recent experimental data on the decay modes of psi (3095) and psi '(3684) reveals some quantitative disagreement. [...]
