Determination of a time-shift in the OPERA set-up using high energy horizontal muons in the LVD and OPERA detectors / LVD and OPERA Collaborations
The purpose of this work is to report the measurement of a time-shift in the OPERA set-up in a totally independent way from Time Of Flight (TOF) measurements of CNGS neutrino events. The LVD and OPERA experiments are both installed in the same laboratory: LNGS. [...]

Development and test results of a readout chip for the GERDA experiment / Smale, Nigel ; Bauer, C ; Knöpfle, K T ; Schwingenheuer, B ; Trunk, U ; Fallot-Burghardt, W
This paper describes the F-CSA104 architecture and its measurement results. The F-CSA104 is for γ spectroscopy with Ge detectors. [...]

High energy neutrinos from astrophysical sources / Perrone, L /MACRO Collaboration
Summary form only given. High energy muon neutrinos coming from astrophysical sources could be detected as upward-going muons produced in charged-current interactions of nu /sub mu /'s with the matter surrounding the detector. [...]

A combined analysis technique for the search for fast magnetic monopoles with the MACRO detector / MACRO Collaboration
We describe a search method for fast moving ( beta = v/c > 5 * 10/sup -3/) magnetic monopoles using simultaneously the scintillator, streamer tube and track-etch subdetectors of the MACRO apparatus. The first two subdetectors are used primarily for the identification of candidates while the track-etch one is used as the final tool for their rejection or confirmation. [...]

Study of neutrino induced upgoing muon energy / Scapparone, E /MACRO Collaboration
An estimate of the energy of neutrino-induced muons in MACRO is provided by a multiple Coulomb scattering measurement. The MACRO original upward-muon data sample has been subdivided according to the reconstructed muon energy. [...]

Study of jet production in p-N interactions at $sqrt{s} \approx 500 GeV$ in EAS multicore events / EAS-TOP Collaboration
The cross section for large p/sub t/ jet production for transverse momentum 10<or=p/sub t/<or=20 GeV/c and rapidity 1.6<or= eta <or=2.6 in p-N (p-`air') interactions is studied from the analysis of multicore extensive air showers recorded in the EAS-TOP calorimeter. The projectiles are the leading particles interacting at atmospheric depths between 250 and 480 cm/sup -2/, the CMS energy of interaction being square root (s) approximately=500 GeV. [...]

Relevance of the hadronic interaction model in the interpretation of multiple muon data as detected with the MACRO experiment / MACRO Collaboration
With the aim of discussing the effect of the possible sources of systematic uncertainties in simulation models, the analysis of multiple muon events from the MACRO experiment at Gran Sasso is reviewed. In particular, the predictions $9 from different currently available hadronic interaction models are compared. [...]

Hints of $\mu + N \to \mu + N + \mu^{+} \mu^{-}$ process observation with the MACRO experiment / Battistoni, G ; Scapparone, E /MACRO Collaboration
We present the analysis of the distribution of the distance of muon pairs detected deep underground by the MACRO experiment. A detailed analysis of the low separation region pointed out an excess of experimental data with respect to $9 the Monte Carlo expectation. [...]
