Abstract	In this work, the generalized experience in the development of powerful (500 kW) frequency converters based on JGBT modules designed for feeding industrial electron accelerators of the transformer type is presented. The problems related to the matching of the converter output with the primary winding of the high voltage transformer are considered and recommendations on the converter design are given.
