Abstract | In neutron diffraction experiment precision data about crystal and magnetic structures of SrRuO$_{3}$ have been obtained. In ferromagnetic state the ordered Ru magnetic moment is equal to $\mu_{\rm Ru}$=(1.63 $\pm$ 0.06) $\mu_{\rm B}$ at $T$=10 K. This value agrees well with the results of recent calculations, predicting the possibility of the band ferromagnetism in SrRuO$_{3}$ with reduced ordered moment. Crystal structure of SrRuO$_{3}$ remains unchanged in the temperature range of 1.5-290 ?. It was found also that the so-called "Invar effect" in SrRuO$_{3}$ (zero thermal expansion) below phase transition into ferromagnetic phase, is conditioned by mutual rotation of oxygen octahedra. |
