Abstract We report the latest results of the oscillation search in the nu /sub mu / disappearance mode from data taken from June, 1999, to June, 2000, with the K2K experiment. We observed 27 fully-contained events in the 22.5 kton fiducial volume of Super-Kamiokande (SK), while the corresponding expected number of events is estimated to be 40.3/sub -4.6//sup +4.7/ in the case of no oscillations.
