Abstract The Monitored Drift Tube is the basic element of the muon spectrometer of ATLAS detector at LHC. More than 14000 such tubes have been assembled and tested at IHEP (Protvino) in framework of construction of end-cap drift chambers for the spectrometer. This paper reports some details of assembling techniques and quality control and assurance test results.
