TDIS Repair & Consolidation (TDISRC) project team in front of the two TDIS systems. These devices are installed in the LHC tunnel and protect sensitive components such as superconducting magnets and the experiments against injection failures from the SPS to the LHC; two of these devices are installed in the LHC, one in Point 8 and another one at Point 2. The two TDIS were completely refurbished after having identified a non-conformity in the edge welded bellows that resulted in unexpected leaks in late 2023. Spare devices were installed in the LHC in YETS23-24, whilst the TDIS shown in the pictures were repaired and upgraded. The two TDIS are now ready for installation in the LHC , during the YETS 24-25.
