Abstract | Engineering tools are essential to the construction of an accelerator. They are used from the very early stages in the processes that bring objectives and ideas to a conceptual design, engineering specifications, mechanical models, installation plans and finally installation with fine-tuned alignment. The talk uses the HL-LHC project to illustrate a selection of tools that are used in the processes that took and are taking place to bring the HL-LHC project to completion. | ||||||||||||||
