Abstract | Recent results in the study of leptonic decays of light hadronic states and rare $B$ decays are presented. Measurements of the properties of $B^0_\textrm{s}$ mesons decaying to $\mu^+\mu^-$ and searches for $B^0$ mesons decaying to $\mu^+\mu^-$ by both the ATLAS and CMS experiments are discussed. Probing lepton flavour violation via searches for $\tau$ leptons decaying to three muons with ATLAS and CMS is also discussed. |
