Abstract During MD4168, performed on November 27th 2018, silicon crystals for a crystal-assisted collimation system were tested. Crystal collimation is studied as an alternative scheme for ion collimation at the HL-LHC. Tests with ion beams at the LHC are fundamental to assess the performance of the system in view of a possible inclusion in future upgrades.
