Abstract | The MDISim toolkit is used to evaluate and characterizethe beam-gas induced background in the FCC-ee interactionregion. MDISim allows to construct in GEANT4 the actualbeam lattice structure with geometry and magnetic elementsin order to perform a full simulation enabling to study thelocation where the beam gas scattering occurs as well asthe loss point of scattered particles. We compare simulationresults with expectations from analytical expressions anddiscuss the impact of possible local pressure rises by gasdesorption induced by synchrotron radiation. |
