Abstract We present a study of the showers initiated by low momentum (p 10 GeV) electrons, pions and protons in the highly granular CALICE scintillator-tungsten HCAL. The data were taken at the CERN PS in September-October 2010. The analysis includes energy resolution measurements for each particle type and studies of the longitudinal shower development. The results are compared with several GEANT4 models.
