I am a machine learning researcher, studying algorithmic tools for decision-making and their societal implications. Broadly, my research is at the intersection of causal resoning, data science, and trustworthy AI. I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at KU Leuven’s DTAI working with Jesse Davis and Wouter Verbeke.

I completed my PhD in Data Science from the Scuola Normale Superiore, advised by Salvatore Ruggieri. During my PhD, I was a research fellow at the University of Pisa’s KDD Lab and a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow with NoBIAS ITN. Before my PhD, I worked at Deloitte Belgium as a quantitative risk modeler. Previously, I studied Econometrics and Empirical Economics (MSc) at the Toulouse School of Economics, and Economics and History (BA) at the University of Florida where I attended as a Davis UWC Scholar. I am originally from Caracas, Venezuela.
