Could embracing AI be the key to turning it around? 🤔    While completing an application to join the board of a not-for-profit, Mike Barry – the head of Microsoft Canada – has highlighted just how valuable (and efficient!) AI can be.     Using his very own generative AI tool, Copilot, Barry asked for a five-paragraph letter of interest based on his LinkedIn profile.     The result? He only had to change one word before hitting send.   And it got him (and us) thinking: if more businesses and leaders embraced AI tools, could our productivity problem be solved?    “The truth is Canada has, unfortunately, a long history of not adopting new technologies as fast as others, in particular, the U.S., and some of that does show up in the labour productivity stats,” Barry said.    It is up to leaders to take the time to educate themselves on AI tools, identify key areas where they could make a difference and pass this knowledge on to their workers.     Let us emphasize the phrase ‘key areas’, though. Navigating New Horizons: Choosing the Right Study Destination. The economic challenges and rising unemployment in #Canada are severely affecting #Indianstudents, leading many to resort to drugs and alcohol as coping means. With significant financial burdens from education loans and the high cost of living, the stress of joblessness has driven some students to addiction. The pressure to succeed, associated with the constant worry about finances and job prospects, can sometimes feel unbearable because it's not just about managing studies but also dealing with the emotional and mental toll this uncertainty brings. We desperately need better support systems to help students navigate these difficult times, find healthier ways to cope and ensure their well-being is prioritised. In contrast, the #UK is tightening its student visa policies to control migration, impacting many international students and their dependents.
