SPECTRUM is an organization that serves, affirms, and supports the well-being of 2SLGBTQ+ individuals in Waterloo Region and the broader community through peer support, community partnerships, education and training, resources, and events. Our vision is: An inclusive community where all 2SLGBTQ+ individuals are welcomed, celebrated, and supported as their authentic selves. We opened our doors on August 7th, 2012 and strive to continue creating safe spaces for the realization of an inclusive and resilient community.

June was an incredible time for our Rainbow Diversity Training program! In June alone, we had over 600 attendees to our sessions, and over the past year, over 94.5% of attendees agreed the sessions were worth their time. In addition to their unrestricted granting all-year, this month, we hosted a Rainbow Diversity Training workshop for their employees, and they commissioned our very own Baz Kanold to paint a large mural (part of which is pictured here), that their employees added their signatures and messages of allyship to from across their Cambridge and Toronto offices. Today, Baz’s art piece came proudly home to Spectrum with the power of hundreds of allies and friends cheering us on through their words. Thank you to all our friends at Gore Mutual!
