The SonaVu Acoustic Imaging Camera can detect a leak no matter the ambient noise of the environment it is in. The 112 Digital MEMs Sensors accurately detects ultrasound in the range of 38-42kHz, drowning out the roar of other machinery. Detecting vacuum leaks pose challenges to Maintenance & Reliability Teams. The sound generated by a vacuum leak is very quiet, it’s comparable to that of a compressed air leak. However, unlike a compressed air leak, the ultrasound emission is pulled into the pipe, rather than pushed outward. Thus, making vacuum leaks very challenging to locate and pinpoint, even with the use of certain ultrasound detectors. Phase-Resolved Partial Discharge (PRPD) is used to analyze Partial Discharge (PD) patterns that are emitted from electrical faults. PRPD involves plotting the phase angle of the PD pulse against its amplitude to find different types of PD sources. This helps assess the condition of electrical systems, preventing future electrical failures.
