The amazing G Adventures CEOs are doing it again! Raise the World launched just two weeks ago, and it's already raised over $14,000 USD🎉 Raise the World is a unique initiative where G Adventures CEOs come together to raise funds for Planeterra through on-tour and post-tour donations🌎 Every contribution helps build local economies, protect cultural heritage, and create sustainable livelihoods—creating a positive ripple effect that lasts long after the trip ends. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated so far, and to those who continue to support this cause. Every donation, big or small, makes a real impact✨ 🔗 Learn more about Raise the World: https://lnkd.in/di7muH8E
In less than two weeks, our Raise the World campaign raised $14,000 USD for Planeterra!!! 🙌💜 Raise the World is a global campaign for G Adventures CEOs to help raise funds for Planeterra through on-tour and post-tour donations. As our best ambassadors for community tourism, CEOs are the key storytellers that explain and show travellers how G Adventures trips support local people and help them earn an income from tourism. Want to support a CEO you know on their mission to earn 1 of 50 CEO Fundraising spots at #GXJordan 2025? Head over to the Raise the World page - https://gadvnt.rs/4eHLzdv Scroll down and search a CEO's name in the Support a Fundraiser section. Click "Donate" on their page to contribute. Small amounts from each tour are making a HUGE collective difference, and this is just the beginning. We're making some solid progress towards the $200,000 goal. Congratulations to our global CEOs, keep it up! ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

Check out this beautiful short documentary film by Shivya Nath, which highlights the incredible work of our community partners in the Sacred Valley of Peru: https://lnkd.in/dRv4kpJg Featured in the documentary are: 🌎Ccaccaccollo Women's Weaving Co-op 🌎Tinkuy Community Tourism 🌎Parwa Restaurant These community-led social enterprises are creating valuable livelihood opportunities and empowering local and Indigenous women. As mentioned by Shivya, community-led enterprises create livelihood opportunities close to home, especially for local and Indigenous women. This helps preserve their living cultures and builds resilience against the impacts of climate change on agriculture🌱 _______________ #CommunityTourism #ResponsibleTourism #SustainableTourism #SocialEnterprises #WomenInTourism #ResponsibleTravel
In Peru’s Sacred Valley, I had the opportunity to spend time with three incredible community-led initiatives – and create a short documentary film on their journey (8 minutes): https://lnkd.in/dQzm5ABW It's a testimony to how our travel choices can enable local and Indigenous communities, especially women, to make a living close to home, and build resilience against climate change impacts on agriculture. Huge gratitude to Planeterra and G Adventures for supporting my trip, and for the incredible work you do in supporting these communities. This film, in Spanish and Quechua, was rather challenging to edit, but I'm so grateful for the translation support (by Edison, Melissa, Soufia, Amulya and Aashna) and the patient editing by Deepthi Ramdas! This film is part 3 of “Routes of Resilience” – a series of 10 short documentary films I'm shooting across India, Peru and the US, that highlight community-oriented and gender-responsive climate resilience solutions from the lens of travel. Do you seek community-oriented and women-led initiatives when you travel? #sustainabletourism #communitytourism #climateaction #tourismandclimatechange #climatechange #climatefilms #traveldocumentary
