For decades, endovascular surgery has exposed practitioners and patients to prolonged radiation due to reliance on fluoroscopy. Centerline Biomedical's Intra-Operative Positioning System (IOPS®) is changing this landscape. Traditional X-ray imaging provides only two-dimensional visualizations, complicating the accurate placement of catheters, guidewires, and stents. This often requires trial and error and frequent movement of the large imaging system, increasing radiation exposure and procedural time. Developed with advanced mapping algorithms and leveraging NDI’s Aurora® EM technology, IOPS offers real-time, non-radiation-based navigation. 🔍 Key Highlights: ☑ Real-Time 3D Visualization: IOPS provides an intuitive 3D map derived from CT scan data fused with real-time imaging, enabling precise navigation without continuous fluoroscopy. ☑ Enhanced Safety: EM tracking technology can minimize radiation exposure, making procedures potentially safer for both patients and practitioners. ☑ Improved Accuracy: Real-time positioning and orientation of catheters and guidewires can enable precise placement, potentially reducing procedural time and improving outcomes. ☑ Portable and Integrative: The IOPS platform is a self-contained mobile unit that integrates seamlessly into existing workflows. Clinical Impact: ☑ Reduced Radiation Exposure: Can significantly cut down on fluoroscopy use, protecting clinicians from prolonged radiation. ☑ High-Quality 3D Image Guidance: Provides accurate, full-color 3D images, facilitating better decision-making during procedures. ☑ Shortened Surgical Times: Precise navigation can reduce errors and surgical times, allowing for more daily procedures. Read the Full Case Study and discover how IOPS integrated with NDI’s EM technology are revolutionizing endovascular surgery.
