This World Mental Health Day, we’re proud to share our support for Kids Help Phone through the BMO Walk so Kids Can Talk. Proudly participating in walks across Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Toronto this year, Ledcor employees raised $71,611 to help ensure that youth have access to the mental health support they need, when they need it. Since 2009, Ledcor employees have raised more than $1.6 million for Kids Help Phone, Canada’s only free, 24/7, multilingual and confidential e-mental health care service for Canadian youth. #LedcorCares

Ledcor employees recently joined over 1,400 industry leaders from around the world at the 2024 CREW Network Convention in Vancouver for three impactful days of business networking, industry education, and leadership development. Since 1998, CREW Network has focused on accelerating success for women in commercial real estate globally. We provided personal protective equipment to attendees who participated in learning excursions at various construction sites, including our Broadway & Granville project – a 40-storey mixed-use tower for lifetime client PCI Group, directly above the new South Granville SkyTrain station.

Zibi is a mixed-use redevelopment that is transforming derelict industrial lands along the Ottawa River into a world-class, highly sustainable waterfront community. Our teams performed extensive pre-construction and remediation, renovated and restored late 1800s and early 1900s buildings, constructed new buildings, and built the community’s District Energy System – a thermal heating and cooling plant that aims to eliminate all GHG emissions. Congratulations to our very own Andrew Brown, recipient of OHS Canada's Top 25 Under 40! These awards recognize young professionals who have made significant contributions to enhancing workplace safety. Ledcor proudly supported YWCA Regina's Walk a Mile in Their Shoes event. Members of Regina’s construction team provided refreshments for event participants and participated in the walk, raising more than $3,000. Each year, YWCA Regina serves over 7000 vulnerable women and children in its community. Walk a Mile in Their Shoes raises awareness for gender-based violence by inviting participants to step into a pair of red shoes for an awareness walk through downtown Regina.

We’re proud to donate $233,786 to BC Children's Hospital, Vancouver to support the Proteomics Research Suite at BC Children's Hospital Research Institute, including a highly precise mass spectrometer. This technology will enable researchers like Dr. Philipp Lange, Investigator with the Michael Cuccione Childhood Cancer Research Program (MCCCRP), to pursue innovative research studies in pediatric cancers, impacting kids in BC and around the world. Our team had the privilege of meeting Dr. Lange and learning how researchers in the MCCCRP are pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery to find the best treatments for children with cancer. This donation is part of a $3 million Ledcor commitment to North American children’s charities over four years. Funds were also raised in-part through our Employee Giving Campaign. #LedcorCares
