Meet Leanne Hardy : Shortly after relocating from the UK to Canada, Leanne embarked on her journey with Flair, driven by a desire to help people and make a difference. Yesterday, we shared exciting but bittersweet news for Flair: after nearly four years of piloting Flair through skies, both clear and turbulent, our intrepid CEO Stephen Jones is retiring this summer.   Being the sole ultra-low cost carrier in Canada and the third largest airline in Canada is a testament to Stephen’s leadership and fearless pursuit of making air travel affordable for all. Flair and Stephen's vision empowered and will continue to empower Canadians to see more of the people and places they love, at prices they also love. Now, the Competition Bureau Canada is asking Canadians what they want from their airlines? Flair was started due to the lack of competition and choice in Canadian aviation and the resulting sky-high fares that prevented access to travel. We are committed to continuing to raise the bar to provide fair fares to all. “For far too long, Canadians have borne the burden of sky-high airfare prices, significantly restricting travel,” Jones says. “In 2018, it was our chance to challenge the status quo, to shake the foundations of an industry that had long favoured the elite over the ordinary traveller.” - Stephen Jones Six years later, we’re still challenging the status quo and proud of the impact that the Flair Effect has had on the market - decreasing airfare prices by an average of 34% for all travellers and saving Canadians over $700 million dollars.
