Safety in artificial intelligence (AI) is essential as we unlock the full potential of this evolving technology. Today, Minister Champagne announced the launch of the Canadian Artificial Intelligence Safety Institute, which will strengthen Canada’s ability to tackle AI security risks. The Institute will increase awareness and knowledge of emerging risks in advanced AI systems and contribute to the work undertaken by a global network of AI safety institutes.
