TEACHING TUESDAY 💡 Chore Team: In this event, teams of horses are guided through a course designed to test the skills of both the horses and the driver. Each obstacle on the course is an example of what teams on the ranch would face in their day-to-day duties. A glimpse back in time, relive when horsepower was everything. 🐴 Additionally, there is a Feed Team Race and Barrel Race, where teams must pick up and drop off feed at three different stations, as well as compete in a barrel racing pattern. The event has a 16-team limit. Earlier this month in Redvers, SK, two CWA legends were honoured at Redvers City Hall. Chris Sutter, CWA Founding President, and Jim Lewthwaite, CWA Founding Member. TEACHING TUESDAY 💡 Canadian National 4-H Judging Competition: In this event, competitors ages 17-21 judge upwards of 10 classes of animals and items, and then present their choices. Plus, the individual grand aggregate has the honour of being one of the judges in our First Lady Classic! Judging teaches individuals how to identify important characteristics and process of evaluation, with the goal of developing the skills to be the next generation of agricultural judges.
