Burton contract announcement

BUMA Australia is growing!

Our Broadmeadow East Project was originally awarded to BUMA Australia in April 2022 and from February 2023 will also include the Burton Project.

The Burton project is located 120km west-southwest of Mackay, off the Suttor development road, and ~25km north of Broadmeadow East in the Bowen Basin, QLD.

The scope of works includes statutory management of the mining operations, clearing, grubbing and topsoil removal, drill and blast, load and haul of coal and waste, dump management and progressive rehabilitation works.

This award will see BUMA Australia delivering mining services at Broadmeadow East mine and Burton mine in Queensland’s’ Bowen Basin for up to 4 years. At steady state, combined ROM Coal production is expected to be ~4.5 Mtpa which will be processed at the Burton Coal Mine CHPP.
