I think California needs more Bobbi/MegMoney. Or maybe Bobbi/MegMoney need more California?! Whatever the case we loved everything about our trip there.

While there we shot one wedding and two sessions. A lot of people ask us how we book sessions in other states? Wellllll…. every time someone inquires from a different part of the country we add them to our “If ever traveling to _____, email them” list. I then email, in order, all of the people who’ve inquired. Badaboom, badabing we’re all booked up. Full disclaimer: sometimes we shoot extra sessions when we travel and sometimes we don’t; so if you see that we’re on the road and didn’t email you… don’t get upset with us. 🙂

Generally when Megan and I travel for weddings and sessions we start our location scouting using Google Street View. I don’t mean to brag but we’re kiiiiiiind of experts at it. 😉

For the last 30 minutes of the session we headed to a beautiful park on a hill. When I shoot these kinds of images in the midwest I have to lay on the ground and fake the hill… in California they really do exist!

    How they met...

    We met through a mutual friend (Jenn) when DeAnna was in a school play her senior year of high school. Jenn and DeAnna were both in the play. Jenn introduced DeAnna and Freddie before the play. Freddie and his friend were making fun of DeAnna’s maden name not knowing that was Jenn’s friend. DeAnna didn’t like Freddie at first because of that. We met again a few months later when DeAnna started attending the same church Freddie attended

    Your perfect Saturday
    Sleeping in a little. Daddy and Wadlay almost always go on a coffee run. The kids would say getting donuts from our favorite shop. Mom would say making a hot breakfast together. Going on a walk or bike ride. Maybe an afternoon nap. Ending the night cuddled on the couch with popcorn and a movie.
    In five words...

    DeAnna:  Irreplaceable, gorgeous, smart, loving and wonderful.

    Freddie:  Funny, thoughtful, hardworking, generous and loving.

    Isabelle:  Sensitive, kind, giving, joyful and loya

    Calista:  Sweet, feisty, spirited, independent and opinionated

    Wadlay:  Sweet, lovable, caring, genuine and sometimes salty.
