In June, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, the bravery, and the achievements of its often unsung heroes. Although Alan Turing's impact on computer science was widely acknowledged, it wasn’t until the 1990s that his role in cracking the Enigma code in the Second World War came to light. Turing had worked on the ACE (Automatic Computing Engine) design at the National Physical Laboratory, which many people see as the forerunner to the modern computer. Three years later Turing was arrested for homosexuality – which was then illegal in Britain. In 2016 the Government announced gay and bisexual men convicted of now-abolished sexual offences in England and Wales were to receive posthumous pardons under an amendment dubbed the "Turing law".

He started his career as an animator in 2012 in the largest Bulgarian company for hotel animation. In 2018, he started working in the sales department of BT Development Services - one of the largest asset management companies in Bulgaria, specializing in management and development of tourism, hospitality, real estate and infrastructure projects. In 2021, he worked with #NGO organizations in Valencia, Spain under the European Solidarity Corps program of the European Commission, and at the end of 2021 he became part of the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia team.
