Млади активисти на Amnesty International от цяла Европа изразиха солидарността си с ЛГБТИ+ общността в България по време на годишната Среща на европейската младеж през септември в Будапеща. 🏳️🌈 По време на срещата те се запознаха с последните законодателни промени в Закона за училищното и предучилищното образование, гласувани от българския парламент през август месец. Застрашаването на правата на ЛГБТИ+ хората, ограничаването на свободата на изразяване и атаките срещу гражданския сектор в България вдъхновиха активистите за флашмоб в тяхна подкрепа. Proudly standing in solidarity with my colleagues and friends from Bulgaria for human rights, equality, and justice 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ In a statement in front of the Intergroup on LGBTI Rights at the EU Parliament 🇪🇺 I highlighted the need for urgent actions to address the rising homophobia and transphobia in Bulgaria, which seems to come in a legislative package with the foreign agents law. Key point in my speech was the “chilling effect” that anti-LGBTQI legislation has on the community and its allies - the devastating effects of which we’ve already seen in Hungary. ❌ Негативните последици от приемането на анти-ЛГБТИ промените в закона за образованието вече са факт. Възраждане публикува списък с имена на учители, изявили своята гражданска позиция чрез подписка, с призив за обществено осъждане. ❗ Това действие нарушава основни права на човека и застрашава свободата на изразяване и защитата от преследване. Това е форма на натиск, която не е съвместима с принципите на правовата държава и демокрацията. ✊ Призоваваме всички граждани, институции и организации да се противопоставят на всякакви форми на натиск, тормоз и дискриминация, насочени към тези, които се осмеляват да изразят своето мнение против дискриминацията и в подкрепа на правата на човека. In June, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, the bravery, and the achievements of its often unsung heroes. Although Alan Turing's impact on computer science was widely acknowledged, it wasn’t until the 1990s that his role in cracking the Enigma code in the Second World War came to light. Turing had worked on the ACE (Automatic Computing Engine) design at the National Physical Laboratory, which many people see as the forerunner to the modern computer. Three years later Turing was arrested for homosexuality – which was then illegal in Britain. In 2016 the Government announced gay and bisexual men convicted of now-abolished sexual offences in England and Wales were to receive posthumous pardons under an amendment dubbed the "Turing law".
