🎤Last week at TBWA Belgium, we gathered for our Campus event to delve into the complexities of behavioral change. In a world where 97% of our actions are unconscious, marketeers have a role to play beyond the rational, but through emotionality and creativity. We were privileged to have insightful contributions from Aude Mayence from Delhaize Belgium, Ruth Degraeve from VRT and Bart Vandecruys from WHYFIVE, alongside our strategist Laora Mastari (she/her), who brought cases from various industries with simple tactics to inspire behavioral change. Here are the key takeaways from this vibrant discussion among a room full of marketing leaders: 1. To solve consumer problems, offer solutions that feel helpful without being patronising. To obtaining behavioral change, it’s crucial to truly understand people's underlying fears and motivations. This demands using data wisely by blending it with human insights. 4. In order to create a real connection with your consumer, make your brand a natural part of people's lives by adapting to their true needs and contexts. 5. Ensure a long-term impact on behavior by recognizing different adoption speeds among your audiences. Balance innovative ideas with simplicity and tailor your approach to different groups.
