Virtual reality at John Cockerill Proserpol! Last September, John Cockerill Proserpol took a technological step forward by developing a virtual reality application dedicated to the presentation of its state-of-the-art #electrochlorination solution, E-ChloPure®, an innovative #electrolysis technology enabling the on-site production of bleach from #seawater. Thanks to VR, it is now possible to show our pilot demonstrator, currently installed at a customer's site in Le Havre (France), to prospects and potential customers located in the four corners of the globe, such as Singapore or Indonesia. Virtual reality enables us to offer an immersive, engaging and interactive experience to our customers, providing an original moment during our formal technology presentations. This approach also projects an image of modernity that blends perfectly with John Cockerill's values of innovation. Beyond being a simple marketing tool, the #VR headset is proving to be a unique educational and sales support: it enables our customers to visualize our facilities and technologies in total immersion, immersing them in an #environment they might never be able to visit in person. This new VR approach will soon be used at a trade show in Indonesia, where it will be an asset in attracting a wider audience and captivating visitors with a striking glimpse of our facilities. John Cockerill is part of the #iMUGS2 project to develop next-generation Multipurpose Unmanned Ground Systems. The consortium that successfully delivered the groundbreaking #iMUGS (Integrated Modular Unmanned Ground System) project in 2023 has submitted the iMUGS2 proposal, together with new consortium members, in response to the European Defence Fund's call. Building on the success of iMUGS, the production-capable Consortium is set to revolutionise European military capabilities, enhance battlefield effectiveness and enable the fielding of European unmanned ground systems. iMUGS2 has three main outcomes: ➤ First, it aims to develop, validate and demonstrate cost-effective, combat-ready UGSs that support dismounted troops at various operational levels and provide practical value in different operations. ➤ Second, the project will develop operational concepts demonstrating how UGS and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) can enhance infantry battalion and cross-domain operations capabilities. ➤ Third, the project will enhance the modular and open architecture and Through Life Capability Management (TLCM) framework that enables efficient integration of autonomous functionalities with legacy and new systems across unmanned and optionally manned ground platforms, including conversion of manned vehicles. Our Group was delighted to host a delegation from the works council and the committee for prevention and protection at work of Sibelga, the operator of the electricity and natural gas distribution networks in the #Brussels-capital Region. During this visit, John Cockerill showcased its integrated energy storage solutions, which sparked significant interest. Our guests were particularly impressed by #MiRIS, our electric microgrid, managed by our in-house developed Energy Management System (EMS) that optimizes the performance and efficiency of the #microgrid. The delegation also appreciated our unwavering commitment to safety in all our installations. Our specialists presented a range of John Cockerill's energy #storage solutions, such as #battery energy storage systems, #thermal energy storage systems, and concentrated #solar power (#CSP). Sibelga expressed strong interest in battery systems, which support the public grid by auxiliary services for frequency regulation and increasing the self-consumption of locally generated electricity.
