Fun game! Played it for long enough to actually catch a bug! I wish I could give specific replication steps for this, but essentially...the player character disappeared! I had thrown one spear, and when I tried throw my other spear, I disappeared. It's possible I maybe tried to dodge at the exact same time or something though. The game continued, but the wolves never returned, so the rabbits just started covering the screen (it never went above a certain number, which was sad. I hoped they would just keep replicating lol)
Not sure you're willing to bug fix this long after release, but thought I'd mention it anyways.
The death animation is damn brutal lol. Awesome game and really really fluid animations. Great job overall. My highest is like 6 meats including one wolf lol
Thanks for giving Need 4 Meat a try and apologies for any issues you're experiencing. The truth is that there is no downloadable build for N4M--it is meant to be played in browser. This is also the first we're hearing of any major performance issues. Have you tried checking the strength of your network connection? Additionally, have you tried playing the game on the itch.io app? From what we understand, the app allows you to install browser games. Might clear up any issues you are having.
Very nice game! Just wondering what is the resolution of the game? I'm also a unity game developer and every time I publish a browser game here at itchio it always doesn't fit both in fullscreen and in fullscreen
The resolution in Unity is set at 960 x 540 (16:9 aspect ratio). We also use this WebGL export template, with the "scale to fit" option set to true. Hope this helps!
I would recommend implementing multiple difficulty levels only if there's any intention to actively promote/sell copies of the title i.e. making easy, normal, and hard difficulty modes would appeal to wider audiences. Otherwise Need 4 Meat is excellent as-is!
This game is so awesome! The gameplay is really addicting, it's so fast paced, and the animations are really polished. If you're looking to add to it, I think it would be cool if when you hit a wolf halfway through it eating a rabbit, the rabbit meat is dropped and the wolf goes straight for you, so you get a little reward for timing the shot. So fun though, great job!
Great game, great trailer. You have a good hand ;)
I am not very fast gamer and your game is very difficult for me, as a unsolicited feedback I would appreciate to have a more soft learning curve.. at least to have the satisfaction of eating one of the rabbits :)
Nice video. I think you forgot about the dodge roll. Its r click on a mouse and left trigger on a game pad. It would make those wolves a lot more survivable

nice game, but i don't like that wolves can eat you through a dodge roll and those spear pickup hitboxes could be a bit more generous
this is my high score

I got to 12 meats.
Now that's a proper meat-fest!
I killed 5 woofs in one round!
That's impressive... good work, you must have mastered the dodge roll
I gots four meats
QUADRUPLE MEEEEEEEAT!
OK so i was looking and there is no way to get over 40 meats.
meat salad
So far I spent like 4 hours of my life playing this game.
Time well spent, you ask us!
whats your high score?
my best: 37 meats
MMMMMMM....meaty!
i'm the guy that did the art. I've only gotten 21 meats. damn how many wolves were there?
3 or 4.
Pretty tough, but it makes sense. Great play mechanics, responsiveness, art, and sound!
Thanks for playing!
Would you like the game to be easier?

mmmmmm....wolf meat
Tasty!
Was very proud of myself for getting two bunnies with one spear. Plays great!
Double whammy!
Yeah its a nice bonus. Sometimes the game glitches a 3RD spear in when that happens... then you can really rack up some meats

Thanks for playing and for the great feedback!
Yeah that's a great detail to add, thanks!
I suggest you map the attack and dodge rolls to keys instead, since my mouse is a bit unresponsive
Cool. Considering.
Hilarious brutal death animation.XD
Thanks for playing!
Thanks, I find it hilarious too

Thanks for playing and thank you for the feedback!
Epic game! BTW is it possible to kill the Wolf?
It takes 3 hits to kill the wolf. Gotta dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge. If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a wolf.
Thx!
Sure is. Just have to hit em with the right amount of spears.
