At Medtronic, we believe in making a positive impact in the communities in which we live, work and serve. This month, over 80 of our incredible employees in Sydney and Perth swapped their desks for aprons to support OzHarvest! In honour of Tenet 6 of the Medtronic Mission—maintaining good citizenship as a company, our teams came together to prepare, cook, and pack over 250 meals. These meals were delivered to local charities, helping nourish those in need. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to make a difference and to OzHarvest for hosting us! We're proud of our team's effort to serve the community. #Project6 #Giving #CommunityImpact Medtronic Foundation

As National Diabetes Week kicks off, A/Professor Sof Andrikopoulos, CEO of Australian Diabetes Society (ADS), and Aviva Assouline, Senior Business Director Diabetes ANZ at Medtronic, are calling for the #diabetes epidemic to be tackled with the urgency it demands. The landmark diabetes inquiry report, hailed as a "Herculean effort by the committee", is a focal point of the discussion. Highlighting a crucial recommendation from the report, A/Professor Andrikopoulos, says "If we don't have health economic analysis to understand where the pain points are, how can we put plans together, put programs together, put activities together to address those areas of opportunity in diabetes?" With around two million Australians living with diabetes, this year's National Diabetes Week theme, 'Unite in the Fight for Tech,' is especially relevant. "Australia still lags behind other countries when we think about the pace in which new #innovation is launching and the access to that innovation," notes Viv. This year’s NAIDOC Week theme is Blak, Loud and Proud. At Medtronic, we celebrated NAIDOC Week with afternoon teas across our five offices around the country together with a screening of the ‘Take Heart: Deadly Heart’ documentary that aims to shine a light on Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) and the efforts to eradicate RHD in Australia. Throughout the week, we also shared stories and knowledge about significant Indigenous figures, embracing this year's theme. These events were an important reminder of the importance of recognising Indigenous heritage, fostering inclusivity, and honouring the enduring strength and vitality of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. #NAIDOC2024 Jessica Antonas, Michaela Burchell, Murray Emerton, Chris Smith, Kate K., Cheryl Dane-Stewart, Kate Brown, Fiona Daly

Every June, the Medtronic Foundation kicks off year-round volunteerism and giving with an initiative called Project 6 – aligned to Tenet 6 of the Medtronic Mission to be a good corporate citizen. Our employees in Adelaide donated their time and spent a day volunteering with Foodbank Australia, making a tangible difference in our community. Volunteers relabeled over 1500 essential food items which provided a new life to be distributed and put together 500 care bags for teen school girls, ensuring vital supplies reach those in need. Through our Philanthropy Committee Employee Resource Group and Project 6 initiative, we're proud to support our community and demonstrate the true spirit of compassion and teamwork. #Project6 #EngineeringTheExtraordinary #CommunityImpact Shaun Macmahon, Warren Austin, Kathy Levis, Mary Ball, Kathy Martin, Raphela Jude
