Congratulations to the membership and team of relentlessly dedicated Troon associates at Phoenix Country Club on yet another exceptional Charles Schwab Cup Championship. The course conditions were championship caliber and the hospitality the team served up last week was exceptional. Also congrats to Bernhard Langer who shot his age on Sunday (67) draining a dramatic birdie putt on 18 to capture his 47th victory. Lastly congrats to Steven Alker for defending his Charles Schwab Cup. His second-place finish earned him enough points to defend the cup. Alker becomes only the seventh player to collect multiple Charles Schwab Cups.

The Troon Access Grass League Championship Presented by GolfNow will take place December 5 and 6 at Grass Clippings Rolling Hills in Tempe, Arizona, and will feature 44 two-person teams from around the U.S. competing in a 36-hole scramble tournament over two days. On Thursday, Dec. 5 tournament gates open at 3 p.m. with round one beginning at 5 p.m., while on Friday gates open at noon with round two beginning at 1:30 p.m. The Championship’s Award Ceremony and Roxx N Roll Afterparty starts at 9 p.m. on the Grass Clippings Event Lawn. Isaac Rowlands, an Assistant Pro at The Grove will be temporarily leaving behind his day job at one of the UK's premier hotel and golf resorts to seek a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the world's longest golf marathon next year. The challenge and cause is particularly meaningful to Isaac, who endured a lymphoma scare when he was 19 and underwent two operations before receiving the all-clear.
