Super excited to kick off the ANZ 2024 Doyenne program in Melbourne last week with an amazing group of female brokers. We explored the importance of focussing on leveraging strengths not fixing weaknesses to drive high performing businesses and teams and the importance of knowing your why for being in business and how it can help you stand-out in a crowded broking market. Doyenne means "the most respected or most prominent women in a certain field" and I'm thrilled to be partnering with the ANZ Third-Party team to be delivering this 7-week program to some incredibly impressive female brokers. It's great to see ANZ's commitment to supporting the professional development of female brokers and their continuing success. There were great conversations, authentic and vulnerable reflections and some incredible commitments to actions and business goals - and that was all just on day one. A huge thank you to Natalie Smith and Gina Vounakis for choosing to partner with myself and thrive4women on this distinguished program - I'm looking forward to what's to come over the next few weeks. Wow what an amazing final day at the SFG Annual Conference yesterday so many inspiring and engaging takeaways topped only by the incredible Bridgerton inspired Awards masquerade ball. Thank you William Lockett Ann-Maree Lockett Sherifaye Huseyin Blake Buchanan for inviting me to see the SFG magic. Day 2 highlights for me were the leadership, life and sports insights shared by former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist, the industry update with the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) and FBAA - Anja Pannek your comments on Cyber security and payroll tax as the big issues currently facing industry were absolutely bang on. SFG has some of the industry’s best and most influential female brokers and they absolutely shone on the stage during the Empowher panel discussion. And Kemi Nekvapil closing out the day with the reminder that we absolutely have control over our reality in life through the three Rs was the perfect finish. Congratulations to all the winners and finalists at last night’s SFG awards including Mhairi MacLeod ...JP Morgan Owen and Debbie Hutchings #professionaldevelopment #personalgrowth #businesssuccess #goalsstrategiesstructures

When women approach their careers and businesses with this mindset, they stay open to growth, embrace collaboration, and build stronger connections with their clients, teams, and communities.   By focusing on what’s possible instead of what’s missing, female leaders can create positive change, build trust, and foster a business environment where everyone can thrive together. At thrive4women, we’re here to support that journey to lasting success, every step of the way. Jane Counsel #thrive4women

Einstein once said that “once you stop learning you begin dying”. At thrive4women we promote that curiosity is something every business owner should have and therefore investing in your ongoing professional development should be an absolute priority. Lifelong learning is the key to driving business success. Never stop learning, ask questions, lean into uncomfortable moments, be self-aware and set yourself a challenge to learn something new every week because comfort zones are comfortable because they are familiar not because they are healthy. What a wonderful experience yesterday on the final day of ANZ's 2024 Doyenne professional development program for female brokers. There were tears, laughs, lots of vulnerability, honesty and great shares as we wrapped up the 7-week development program in Sydney. It was so inspiring to see the change, growth and transformation that each and every Doyenne has achieved in just 7-weeks. It has been an absolute pleasure working with the 15 amazing Doyennes who have all come on such an amazing journey. Thank you Natalie Smith and Joshua Hazzard for the opportunity to partner with ANZ on this esteemed program. I look forward to continuing to support this amazing community and program going forward. Congratulations to Fayroza Esat and Karina Burke who received the thrive4women Accelerate scholarship, I look forward to continuing to support your ongoing growth and development. Hearing the personal reflections of every Doyenne yesterday was an important reminder of just how important it is to create supportive learning communities for female brokers. There are many times in business where you get impacted by things outside of your control. When we feel under pressure, our brains go into fight or flight mode impacting our ability for calm, rational decision making. The key to staying in control is focussing on the things that you can directly impact like your emotions and mindset, where you spend your time and how you look after yourself. By doing this, you take positive steps to regaining the power in your situation. Jane Counsel #thrive4women #motivationalmonday
