The Micro-X Rover Plus does everything you want a mobile X-ray to do, and more! Its simple one hand drive allows you to effortlessly glide through wards, elevators and corridors. By disengaging the brake by pressing the button on the handlebars, the Rover Plus will move at your speed. Our patented X-ray tube technology allows us to significantly reduce the weight of our mobile X-ray device. In fact, it is so light and easy to drive, we don't need to use a motor! Got a raised threshold at a doorway or a raised platform that other mobile X-ray devices struggle to clear? Not a problem for the Rover Plus - just push down on the kick step at the rear to lift the front of the device up over the obstacle, and you're on your way. #xray #innovation #technology RX Only. We developed our first head CT prototype in 2019 and have come a long way since then. Our latest prototype devices, which include genuine curved-panel detectors and incorporate discrete system motion, are producing high-quality images capable of differentiating brain structures and detecting small structures in phantom bench studies. Our X-ray innovations are changing lives for the better. With our cutting-edge carbon nanotube technology, we’ve made X-ray tubes smaller while maintaining top image quality, unlocking endless new possibilities. Using a sequence of mini tubes that are just slightly larger than a golf ball, we are creating a CT that is small enough to fit in an ambulance. We have designed switching technology that allows us to rapidly turn each mini tube on and off using the one high voltage generator, and then we bring these X-ray images together using world-first reconstruction software to form a 3D image. Our first device using this technology is the Micro-X Head CT for stroke diagnosis. By bringing diagnosis to the patient, the time to diagnosis and treatment will be reduced, saving lives. On this day in 1895, Wilhelm Röntgen made a groundbreaking discovery that changed the face of medicine: X-rays. His innovation allowed us to see inside the human body without invasive surgery, a leap forward for diagnostic medicine. At Micro-X, we're proud to continue Röntgen’s legacy of transforming healthcare through X-ray technology. Our pioneering work in cold cathode carbon nanotube technology marks the next generation of X-ray tubes. By eliminating the limitations of traditional hot filament designs, our miniaturized, lightweight X-ray systems offer unparalleled portability and flexibility, making advanced imaging more accessible than ever before. Today, we honor Röntgen’s ingenuity and reflect on how his discovery inspires us to innovate. We’re going beyond boundaries of X-ray science, creating a future where diagnostic imaging is faster, more versatile, to improve the lives of patients worldwide. #Innovation #XRayAnniversary #MedicalTechnology #MicroX #CarbonNanotubeXray #NextGenerationXray

We are proud to be recognised as 2024 Melbourne Award finalists alongside the Monash University Design Health Collab team for the development of the Head CT mobile stroke device.
Congratulations to the Design Health Collab and Micro-X team for being a finalist in the 2024 Melbourne Awards for the Knowledge and Innovation category! Every 11 minutes an Australian faces death or disability due to stroke. The Design Health Collab at Monash University teamed up with Micro-X Ltd to transform stroke care by enabling on-site diagnosis and treatment with the Head CT. Co-designed with paramedics and clinicians, the Head CT is a compact stroke diagnosis device designed for ambulances. It prioritises usability, offering fast, high-resolution brain scans and a streamlined workflow, significantly improving patient outcomes in Melbourne and beyond. Since 2002, the Melbourne Awards have provided a platform to recognise the people who make Melbourne an inclusive, creative and forward-thinking city. Did you know that the motorless Rover Plus Mobile DR X-ray is so light and easy to maneuver that a child could drive it! The Rover Plus does everything that you would expect a mobile X-ray to do, delivering crystal clear imaging from neonates through to larger adults. What sets the Rover Plus apart from other mobile X-ray devices is our patented Nano Electronic X-ray (NEX) Technology, which allows us to make significantly smaller and lighter X-ray tubes. Our tube technology means our X-ray devices are much lighter than conventional X-ray devices and therefore do not require a motor. #xray #innovation #beyondboundaries
