📺🤚🏼 Hands up if you've been watching Maggie Beer's Big Mission on ABC? This insightful program is putting the lens firmly on food service in aged care - and we couldn't be more supportive! Our team of Residential Aged Care chefs has already received training from the Maggie Beer Foundation as part of its 'Creating an Appetite for Life' initiative. The initiative, which is led by Maggie Beer’s experienced trainers, focuses on enhancing the dining, food, hydration, and nutritional experiences of people living in aged care. It covers areas like improving the dining experience, maximising flavour, rethinking texture-modified foods, and high impact cooking techniques. 🍏🧀🥑 Read more about this amazing experience here: https://bit.ly/3WvpOHH Maggie Beer's Big Mission airs on Tuesdays at 8.30pm or you can watch the entire series on iview.

🌟 Refugee Week 2024 🌟 In a world marked by displacement and the search for refuge, this year’s Refugee Week theme “Finding Freedom” – with a focus on family – encapsulates the profound journey of resilience, strength, and unity that defines the refugee experience. This Refugee Week, we aim to shed light on the transformative power of familial bonds as well as chosen bonds in the face of adversity and emphasise the crucial role families play in providing solace, support, and a sense of belonging to those forced to flee their homelands. Refugee Week is Australia’s peak annual activity to promote greater awareness of refugees, the issues they face and the contributions refugees are making to the Australian community – Find out more about this important celebration here: https://bit.ly/4etj1oT Read more about MercyCare's work with refugees and people seeking asylum here: https://bit.ly/3xkLsEO
