This week, meet our Head of Operations - Alex Steele 🤍 ✨ How long have you been with MWL? - It is coming up to 5 years this year – I can’t believe how quickly time flies.    ✨ What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? - The best advice I have ever received is to not sweat the small things, everything in life happens for a reason and in the end, everything always works out just how it is meant to. ✨ If you were to get married tomorrow which MWL design would you choose? - Oooo that is a tricky one! I think I would have to go with Hunter with the Grayson Overskirt. I am definitely a plain, fitted girlie but the overskirt just adds that bit of drama. ✨ What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know? - I was born and bred on the GC but have lived away a few times. I lived on Hamilton Island as a kid and in the UK as an adult. Something about the GC lifestyle always draws me back.    ✨ What’s a trend or fashion statement you’ve embraced or are currently loving? - I just recently bought a pair of bright blue Adidas Spezials to try and add a pop of colour to my wardrobe… I am not sure yet if I am cool enough to pull them off lol ✨ What does a day in the life for you look like at MWL? - Usually, I start the day with a small latte and then get stuck into all things operational at MWL. At the moment my biggest projects are planning our NYBFW wholesaler event and managing the merge to our new Shopify website. But usually, my day can be anything from trying on new designs with the design team to assisting brides with the customer service team – I have a very diverse role and that is why I love it!

I’m not cool. ✨ What does a day in the life look like for you at MWL?  - Meetings with wifey, management meetings, accountants, HR, lawyers etc. Fixing the coffee machine.
