Media training in healthcare - a whole new perspective. As Chair of an international prehospital care organisation delivering clinical training, for me healthcare decision-making has come into sharp focus. Our healthcare media skills workshop has been reshaped to reflect the realities of patient outcomes, trust, compassion, consensus and transparency in an environment of high political and public expectations. Health leadership is different. We know that. At our core is connecting to the media and getting your message heard and understood with a demonstrated outcome.
MADDISON GROUP
Public Relations and Communications Services
Clarity in communication for a complex world.
About us
Established in 2000, the Maddison Group has been at the forefront of managing communication in a world that has never been more complex. We consistently deliver outcomes and value for our clients who range from $1b not-for-profit organisations to start-ups with bright futures. We are specialists rather than generalists. There are some things we just don’t do - PR fluff and spin (see our blog). We roll up our sleeves and get stuff done where results and award-winning expertise count rather than good times at the expense of clients. That’s why we’ve been around for 20 years, most of those with the same clients. They value our innovation and strategic thinking based on evidence, experience and outcomes.

Glad this was inside - outside the temperature was around minus 20.
Nice to be in front of the camera - this time in Mongolia leading our World Health Organisation project training 70 doctors, nurses and firefighters with a great team of paramedics from Australia, PNG, Canada and the US. While I deliver a lot of media training courses across Australia, being interviewed in Mongolian with a translator added an extra layer of complexity in message delivery. I understand it did translate ok for the MNB network, the equivalent of the ABC. #mediatraining #mongolia #ems #disasters #crisismanagement #WHO #mediarelations

Great to be part of making a huge impact on saving lives in Mongolia with such an expert team.
Excited to be volunteering with the Griffith University In #mongolia helping the Ministry of Health and Sports Mongolia in an medical responder train the trainer program with other like minded #paramedics from across Australia, PNG, and the USA. Kudos to Hamish McLean & Duncan McConnell for leading the project with the various partners and World Health Organization. Great to be a part of this foundational cohort, and supporting the delivery across their amazing and beautiful country. #MongolianMinistryofHealth, #NationalEmergencyManagementAgency
