Thousands of people are trapped in Jabalia camp, north #Gaza, as Israeli forces attack the area. “Nobody is allowed to get in or out, anyone who tries is getting shot,” says Sarah Vuylsteke, #MSF project coordinator. Five MSF staff are trapped in the camp, fearing for their lives. "We were staying at the Al-Yemen Al-Saeed Hospital, but they bombed it. About 20 people were killed. I don’t know what to do, at any moment we could die. People are starving. I am afraid to stay, and I am also afraid to leave,” says Haydar, MSF driver trapped in Jabalia camp. Israeli forces issued evacuation orders on 7 October in Jabalia camp while carrying out attacks at the same time, preventing people from leaving the area safely. Forced evacuations of homes and bombing of neighbourhoods by the Israeli forces is turning north Gaza into unhabitable ruins. MSF calls on the Israeli forces to halt forced displacements and to stop the all-out war on people in Gaza. Israeli forces must also ensure the protection of civilians and hospitals and allow desperately needed humanitarian supplies to enter the north as a matter of extreme urgency. #ceasefirenow

It's been one year since the escalation of violence between Palestine and Israel. We need an enduring ceasefire, and we need it now. We asked our colleagues in Palestine what a ceasefire would mean for them. #CeasefireNow https://lnkd.in/geA_85dB

It's been one year since the escalation of violence between Palestine and Israel. There has been more than enough time for words. We need an enduring ceasefire, and we need it now. #CeasefireNow https://lnkd.in/geA_85dB

As Israeli attacks intensify in #Lebanon, healthcare facilities are being forced to close, leading to devastating consequences for civilians and their access to healthcare. MSF urges all warring parties to spare civilians, medical facilities, and medical personnel to ensure that vital healthcare services can adequately address people’s urgent medical needs. https://msfa.me/3YjWchz

On 10 October, after an Israeli airstrike targeted a school in Deir Al-Balah, Central #Gaza, the MSF-supported Al-Aqsa Hospital turned once again into scenes of chaos and bloodshed with the arrival of dozens of wounded and 20 dead people. 60 patients, including 5 severely injured children, were brought to the Al-Aqsa Hospital. “The staff are feeling helpless. There are no beds, and enough supplies to treat the wounded. We don’t even have sterile gauzes left”, says Eliza Sabatini, #MSF nurse in Gaza. This is the second time in the span of a week that the Al-Aqsa Hospital has received an influx of severely wounded patients due to Israeli airstrikes. Israel must immediately stop its all-out war on people in Gaza. #ceasefirenow

As humanitarians we are appalled by the escalation of violence that we have seen over the last 12 months. We’ve witnessed patients dying on hospital floors, as facilities are overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of those needing care and unable to access basic supplies. We’ve seen international humanitarian law disregarded time after time as healthcare facilities, aid workers, and our own colleagues have been endangered and killed. We've run out of words. "We go to the most difficult places in the world to raise awareness about the importance of mental health, because for too long it has been seen as the second cousin to physical health." #MSF mental health activity manager Dr Trudy Rosenwald describes providing mental health care to #Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar, #Bangladesh. ➡️https://msfa.me/3YhqlxN #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #WorldMentalHealthMonth #WorldMentalHealthDay
