Their commitment to empowering local communities, like the students of Immaculate Conception Primary School in Solevu, continues to inspire us. This week we were thrilled to host our Retail Leadership Conference ‘Momentum’ at Hotel Chadstone in Melbourne.   Over 50 Store Managers from across Australia and New Zealand joined us for three action-packed days.   The passionate atmosphere was palpable, we were so grateful to come together to celebrate an incredible year, and strengthen our unity as KOOKAÏ continues to thrive.   Our conference featured a variety of training and development sessions with key speakers, including our Founders, Department Heads, Katalyst Foundation and the fabulous Olympic Champion, Stephanie Rice.   Excitingly, the team got to see an exclusive look at the new season in an intimate style showcase hosted by our Creative Director, Head of Design and Merchandising.   We capped off two days of learning with a glamorous celebration dinner at Altus, where we recognised outstanding store and state performance across multiple categories.   The final day concluded with a morning tea at Retail Support Centre, offering Managers a chance to connect directly with their departments of interest.   The energy and enthusiasm throughout the conference was contagious. We are eternally grateful for the effort and dedication the team demonstrated throughout the entirety of the experience.    A heartfelt thank you to all our Retail Leaders for attending and contributing to such a memorable event.

Last week our KOOKAI HQ team came together at Hazel Restaurant for a special end of financial year celebration.   The afternoon was nothing short of amazing, filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and a shared sense of pride as we reflected on our successes. Celebrating our wins together is just one of the many ways our strong team culture sets KOOKAI apart, making our journey as rewarding as our achievements. Here’s to another exciting year ahead!

We've conducted new staff inductions and management workshops aimed at equipping our Store Managers with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their roles. From coaching tips and people management skills to operational insights, our team is now better prepared to deliver exceptional leadership and create the outstanding shopping experience our customers love. We are incredibly proud of our new leaders and recruits for their enthusiasm during the training. Their commitment to excellence reflects our values and strengthens our KOOKAI family. Looking forward to seeing our people thrive in their roles!

Last week we welcomed some adorable guests to our KOOKAI Head Office. The team at Second Chance Animal Rescue visited with four delightful puppies; Tater Tott, Cleo, Spud and Dyson – who are looking for a loving home, and will be available for adoption in 2 weeks. During the visit our team learnt about the amazing work the rescue does in rehoming and rehabilitating displaced, abandoned pets. This was a part of our Social and Wellbeing initiative at KOOKAI, studies have shown an increased benefit in animals within the workplace, it is shown to positively impact employee wellbeing. KOOKAI is proud to support Second Chance Animal Rescue, who are a non-for-profit organisation that rely heavily on donations to continue the lifesaving work they do in the community. It was heart-warming to see our team members bonding over their shared love for animals, whilst providing as many cuddles as possible to these gorgeous 6-week-old puppies! Welcome to Chadstone – reimaged. We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new and improved KOOKAI Chadstone flagship boutique!   Last week we celebrated the relocation to Chadstone’s new space, it has been meticulously designed in house by our talented team to reinvent and elevate the in store experience.    The attention to detail is exceptional. From the inspiring design elements and the luxurious yet cosy interior featuring original artworks by three Australian artists, to the stylist assistance buttons in each fitting room, this store is truly one of a kind.   Our team previewed the boutique before it opened to the public on Saturday. It was a humbling and heartfelt moment to celebrate the incredible work of our internal team.   A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this possible. Make a change this Mother’s day. In the lead up to Mother’s Day, we’re showing our support for Fijian mothers and children, and the role they play in shaping the future of their communities. From Monday 6th May through to Mother’s Day we’ll be donating 10% of all sales in our Australian and New Zealand boutiques and online to our supported charity, the Katalyst Foundation.   An important focus of the Katalyst Foundation’s work is around supporting generational change and breaking the cycle of poverty through empowering, educating and protecting those in need.
