It’s one of the best days on our calendar. For the second consecutive year, Cricket Victoria and the Melbourne Renegades hosted more than 50 new Australians receiving their citizenship this weekend. To top it off, we invited all new citizens and their families on-field to welcome the Renegades players on-field in their derby with the Melbourne Stars. Thank you to Australian Department of Home Affairs for your support in making this day happen and to Nina Taylor MP for joining us! 🇦🇺🏏

Cricket Victoria is excited to announce its participation in the inaugural Global Super League T20 competition, taking place from 26 November to 7 December 2024 in Guyana. A very special morning at the CitiPower Centre as we unveiled the re-named Shane Warne Stand, overlooking the St Kilda Cricket Club and Victorian cricket’s headquarters at the CitiPower Centre at Junction Oval. Thank you to Shane’s father Keith, daughters Brooke and Summer, Paul Ryan, President of St Kilda Cricket Club and CV Chair Ross Hepburn for their memories of Shane to lead the event.

Cricket Victoria welcomed the launch of Victoria’s India Strategy 2025-2030 by Premier Jacinta Allan last week.   CV has worked closely with the Victorian Government on the development of the strategy, which highlights the recently established Melbourne Cricket Academy program in India. This CV initiative will deliver coaching programs and foster growth of cricket in Indian schools from early next year.   Domestically, our Indian and South Asian communities are a critical part of the Victorian Cricket family as we continue to roll-out our Multicultural Action Plan for Australian Cricket.
