Today, at 11 AM, Australia observes a minute silence across every state and territory. Flags will be lowered to half-mast in honour of those who have lost their lives in wars and conflicts, the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice, and those who continue to serve Australia. #RemembranceDay

Tomorrow is National Road Worker Day of Remembrance (#RWDOR), a day that honours the road workers who have faced tragic losses or injuries while working diligently on our roads. The dedicated individuals in our industry are vital to community infrastructure and deserve a safe journey home. Sadly, in recent years, we've been witness to too many heart-wrenching incidents, where news of another injury or loss has left us all deeply affected. We asked our team members four pivotal questions about safety and remembrance. Watch the video for their insights, and join us on November 9th for this inaugural RWDOR, as we remember. In partnership with SARAH Group (Founder: National Road Safety Week), Traffic Management Association of Australia (TMAA), Roads Australia, Roadmarking Industry Association of Australia, and the Australian Flexible Pavement Association (AfPA). #COLAS #RWDOR24 #Safety #ColasCares

🎉 Celebrating Commitment to Safety and Teamwork! 🎉 Join us in recognising John Lee for his dedication and 12 years of service with Dust-A-Side Australia. John's approach to safety is all about empowering people - not just "catching them doing the wrong thing" but ensuring everyone understands and follows our safety systems. It’s the small things done right and clear communication that make all the difference. The result? We’re proud to celebrate 13 years without a Lost Time Injury at one of our largest mining projects - a true testament to John’s commitment to building a strong, safety-conscious team and embracing the latest in safety technology. The secret to his success? "Give it your best effort. We are one team, a family. Treat others as you would like to be treated, and always follow through on your commitments." John’s motto? "Mistakes are acceptable, but it’s important to own them and learn from them." Thank you, John, for your leadership and dedication to safety. Here’s to many more years of excellence! #Mining #SafetyFirst #Teamwork #DASAFamily #DustASide #SafetyCulture #CAPCoal

Wishing everyone a joyful Diwali! ✨ For this beautiful celebration, we encourage all Australians to take the opportunity over the coming days and weekend to enjoy fireworks displays, music & dance performances, food stalls, or any other outward forms of celebration. With its origin rooted in an inspiring story about spirits, conflict, the eventual victory of good over evil, and the coming together of people to light pathways home (like roads!), Diwali can be seen to take many forms. People observe and celebrate in various ways that work for them, while in essence, Diwali is about the awareness and celebration of the inner light that is inside all of us. To our workers and active road-users, please be careful on the roads amidst any Diwali events, and we hope all will join us in both outward and inner celebrations. #COLAS #Diwali #Celebration
